Putin wants the Cold War back just as much as any of the hawks like McCain and Graham. It keeps him in power to have a big bad USA that he stands up to. See Putin wants all of the big enemies but doesn't want to fight any of them. He only wants to fight the small ones like Ukraine, Georgia, and Chechnya. That is why the only way to confront Putin is with strength since it's the only thing he understands. The only thing better for Putin is to have a President like Trump in office, since he helped to get him elected and knows Trump will be soft on him.

You can spend all day on the news but you can't spend a half an hour going before a grand jury? He's either hiding something and hoping for a pardon or seeking attention.
