Sorry. But get over it. WE are the ones that showed him the door. Can’t knock the guy for extending his career.
Yeah, he can enjoy his AFC Champs hat and shirt forever now! They give them to inactive players, right? I still say what the Jets did was bad to him and Decker, but their 2017 production shows they were wise moves. He could have went to many teams though. Going to the enemy to sit on the bench and get a free ring seemed like a weak move to me. Oh well. It is over now and he will be remembered as a solid Jets player for sure.
Ahh but just as it’s his right to go to any team he wants after his release it’s my right as a fan to be put off by going to my team’s hated rival 3 days after writing a very touching farewell about how great it was to be a jet.The timeline rubbed me the wrong way.Someday I’ll forgive him just as I have Shaun Ellis which also took a few years
Hitman was a beast for us! I don’t blame him for going to the cheaters to get a ring... He was awesome with Bart Scott in that 2009 season
He was a very good Jet for a decade. He will likely end up in the Ring of Honor one day. I wish him nothing but the best in his future pursuits. I don't blame him at all for trying to win a ring in New England after how things went down/spending his career with a franchise that didn't get him one.
surely did not help himself when we were getting run on by Rashard Mendenhall in the AFCCG against the Steelers
