What a freaking play to end the game. I'd love to see the Vikings win it on their home turf.

What a feel man. I love my dude Breezy, my favorite QB right there with A-Rod. But Brees is the man.

Still watching this really miserable franchise Vikings get to the big dance is great. I dont like Philly man, so I am all in on the Vikings right now. I hope they keep going

3 qbs in the final four might be with different teams next year or at least not starting

If you didn't know otherwise, it would be a logical mistake :).

You got to figure some crazy Vikings fan would kidnap Brady before the game - no?

question is why New Orleans even had LBs in the game

there was a timeout before the final play

plenty of time to set up prevent defense, get the right personnel, and instruct them on what to do

rush 3, drop 8 DBs into coverage, have two on each sideline 20 yards downfield and the rest to defend the end zone

We’re going ice fishing, Tommy. You decide whether you want to be our guest or the bait.

Absolutely crippling loss for the Saints organization.......perhaps one of the worst ways to lose ever.......

Feel bad for Brees, time is running out for him, I have no doubt they would have beaten Phily the next week.

On the bright side we have 3 relatively miserable teams in the final 4, which makes me as a Jets fan believe there is hope......but then again, when New England is celebrating its 6th title it will be all for nothing. Can you really trust any of these teams? hell no.....

Yes, compared to last year where the only close game was the Super Bowl, it has been much much better.

What do all 4 teams in the final 4 have in common? They were all in the top 5 in fewest points allowed.
    Vikings were #1
    Jacksonville was #3
    Philly was #4
    Patriots were #5.

Minnesota and Jacksonville #1 and #2, respectively, in fewest yards allowed per play.
Minnesota, Jacksonville and Philly were #2, 3 and 4 in fewest first downs allowed.
Philly and Minnesota were #1 and #2 in fewest rushing yards per game allowed.
Jacksonville was #1 and Minnesota #3 in fewest pass yards per game allowed.
Jacksonville was #2 in take away turnovers.

In short, 3 of the 4 teams there are there largely because of their defenses. In this day and age of offense friendly rules that's rather amazing.

That said, poor Williams....I have to think the modern rules protecting receivers played a role here, but he Bucknered it.

They were not just defending the end zone, they didn't want the Vikings to be in field goal range also. The catch was made on the 34 yard line with 5 seconds left. Assuming Diggs had gone out of bounds instead of the TD run, he would have been out of bounds between the 32-34 yard line. This would have left the Vikings with a 49-51 yard field goal with less than 5 seconds left.

Not an easy field goal but very makeable in an indoor stadium. So even though the TD was an exciting play, the catch is what probably sealed the victory for the Vikings. Whether they won on a field goal or TD doesn't matter if you are the Saints. To many games are lost by teams playing the so called Prevent Defense which for many years I have felt is a good way to lose a game. A Prevent Defense that allows a 27 yard catch down the field makes no sense to me. The Saints would have been better off playing their normal defense!

Just for clarity, that dude is a rookie, not our Marcus Williams.
