What kind of an idiotic kick was that? Trying to bounce it off someone had a 0.00001% chance of working; kicking it down the field had a 0% chance of working.
I guess he was supposed to aim it away from that guy...and hope that one of his gunners could race 40+yds down the field faster than the Jax returner could run up and grab the.... Yeah I got nothin'.
I don't think I have seen two worse on-side kick attempts in my life. Also, it was a highly questionable choice not to just kick the ball in the first place. Do you think the chances of getting an on-sides kick is better than your defense being able to get a three and out? I guess if you're Tomlin you do.
Murray stopped short on 3rd and 1, refs blow the call. What else is new? As for the end of the previous game, I still don't understand why kickers don't just pop it up over the first line instead of bouncing it right to them (seems like the kicking team is offsides/illegally touches it half the time anyway)
Is there any bad blood between Saints and Vikings from the game where Favre was the QB of the Vikings? They targeted him with a lot of bad shots. I wonder if crowd is extra motivated against the Saints.
First one was a penalty, but that second one wasn't at all. Vikings getting a lot of help from the referees so far.
