Rooting for the Panthers fuck me there are only 28 teams in the league but maybe you have hit on a more sure fire way to support a successful team, so I am going to expand on your idea a little and after a lifetimes worth of support for the Jets I know how to pick a team so here we go... AFC EAST - Jets AFC N - Browns AFC S - Colts AFC W - Broncos NFC E - Redskins (I just couldn't) NFC N - Bears NFC S - Buccs NFC W - 49ers I feel sure that success is just around the corner for me now and at long last I will have a meaningful watch of a superbowl, GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I look up their scores every week and I usually listen to WFAN in the background all day during work, so I know what's going on with the team. What I didn't do this year is sit down and watch games as appointment television. In a normal year, I'd watch every minute of every Jets game, and probably 80% of the Sunday and Monday night games. This year, I watched one full game and bits and pieces of a few others. And I haven't watched a single Monday Night Football game all year (or Sunday Night). I did see some of the Thanksgiving Day games. Undoubtedly, part of my apathy is related to politics (the anthem kneeling business has me turned off to the league), but mostly it is annoyance because the team refused to tank. As an aside, I did catch a quarter of the Jets vs Saints game today because it was on TV in Houston (where I live). Additionally, my "Unhappyjetsfan" handle dates back to 2003 when the team refused to fire Herm Edwards in Year 3 (he lasted five years).
I can never truly quit but I’ll watch from a distance w pure apathy & Drafting Defense in Round 1 puts me there. Don’t care about value ,I don’t care about best player available & Don’t care if they somehow bring in the best edge,corner & DL in the draft.. The defense first philosophy SUCKS & is just Cover up to the fact that the Teams sucks at evaluating,Drafting & developing offense;Specifically skill. Any defensive player & I’m right back to fan tanking.They go 0-16 a few times over maybe then there stars will realign or someone will get a clue in Florham Park
