i like them don’t get me wrong.

But I’m Not seeing a steady marked improvement (they were good to start)

I have to Blame Bowles for that. Besides picking good players, you need to develop and nurture the players to get better...

I dunno about 'marked' improvement but I think they've shown incremental progress from an already solid level.

They've both made big plays and big mistakes; exactly what you'd expect from rookies pressed into starting.

They are as solid as any 1-2 punch draft in the NFL.

What have you been watching? You can't ask for much more from two rookies.

IMO, Marcus Maye became better and better as the season wore on and dare I say he's a better player than Adams now?

As said rookies make mistakes, I'd say Maye looks better but has an easier role maybe?

Agreed. And I left out the fact that Adams is probably the more intelligent player, given that he's taken on the"QB of the defense" role? But if we're talking strictly production on the field, flashy plays, that for me is Marcus Maye.

Some Jet fans are unreal they think that Maye and Adams are supposed to turn into Ronnie Lott and Ed Reed as rookies.

Honestly, I think the mere comparison is absurd. Neither of the two hold a candle to Reed or Lott. But that's also not insulting them, just recognizing them as good players, not great.

Yes , the op should be supported in this dire and urgent matter...Jets need to draft 2 more safeties in the 1st and 2nd rounds.....Mays and Adams are busts.

None of Mac's defensive draft picks are winning defensive rookie of the year or making a pro bowl. Mac has yet to draft a star player. We churn out 5 win seasons for a reason, we have average talent being coached by a stoic jag.

I said I liked them and they are good....

I’m not asking for Lott or Reed

    Learn how to read

I asked if anyone noticed a steady improvement or not

If you don’t have a response to that then stfu

Nothing special out of either of them. Certainly hope at least one turns into a great player and the other pretty good. But right now I doubt either lives up to their draft position

fwiw Ed Reed had 5 picks and a sack his first year. Took Polamalu until year two to make an impact. Neither Maye or Adams have had many WOW moments

Marshon Lattimore who went to the Saints has 3 picks as a rookie, 1 for a TD. Key part in that Saints D being ranked 11th overall. He may be the guy we regret passing up on. Though it's still early.

It's too soon to say they're busts or even to say they won't be great, but it's not too soon to say WE SHOULD"VE TAKEN WATSON OR MAHOMES FIRST!
