This game should show everyone who still needed proof that Bowles is not a good HC. However, I can easily see him and Macc both being retained, and when the dust settles after the draft the Jets will have signed Cousins to a massive albatross of a contract that will never pay off, even if he does stay healthy, and use their picks on BPA-D and as an afterthought, maybe an OL or two, and finally in the 5th or 6th round they'll try to channel Bill B and take a QB at that point.
When RobA taps out, you know things are bad. Bowles looked like he had no clue what a HC's job was yesterday.
I know I’ll catch heat for this but I’d like Rex back. He had heart and desire, and showed fire. I miss the defences we had when he was around.
That defense really wasn’t good after 2010. Long 3rd downs given up. No answer for tight ends, no creativity with the blitz scheme . Whole league figured it out in 2 years and Rex had nothing after that. He ruined a good buffalo d Also no young player development, no offense, no eye for young talent. No thank you. Rex stepped into the perfect situation to make himself look better than he really is, the proof is in the other 6 years he was a head coach
Todd Haley so good that Big Ben only relevant when he runs a no huddle. Pat Shurmur is intriguing, he's got that Vikings offense running with no good QB / RB
I'd like to think that it's worthwhile to entertain who might save us from decades of wandering in the wilderness, but in my heart I know that WoodyChris are going to retain Bowles, and perhaps even extend him. Maybe some franchises are just meant to perpetually lose.
How many here really want a HC who actually said "We were out of the game by then" when down 23-0 at the end of the game? Of COURSE they were out of it! But do you actually say "I give up?" Why not just take the team off the field, or wave a white towel? This is exactly why he needs to go.
Reminded me a bit of the brooks bollinger ravens game. Herm just kept running because he knew he didn’t have a qb to move the ball at that point. I actually don’t care too much that Todd shut it down at that point. The end of the first half though, down 13 3 time outs and getting the ball to open the 2nd half? Indefensible what he did there
