Be interesting to see if he can compete, a 6th rounder but man we have struggled at CB all season.

Skrine reminds me of Ray Mickens. Undersized, so he makes up for it by committing pass interference all the time. Maybe it just looks worse BECAUSE he is small.

That is not a bad comparison, but the main issue for Skrine is that he is trying to do it in an era in which you really can't get away with holding/illegal contact/PI. Also, Mickens was a better player, IMO

I love Buster. He's hard nosed....goes 110% into tackles, dives into the pile for lose balls....He has a bad rep for PI, but one game he got called 3 times in a row for really bad ticy-tack reasons. Even the announcers were siding with Skrine,

Compare that with Royaly Revis...who plays 20 yards off the receiver on 3rd and 1, and avoids contact like the plague.

Skrine is better in the slot, but he's at least avg on the outside.

    Plus he has awesome hair!

    Keep him.

I would have been more excited if they were giving Petty some snaps but it is always good news to hear when our draft picks are improving and getting chances to play.

Two would be better. But hey, sixth-rounder.

Maybe a guy that will play more of a Safety/box guy behind Adams and Maye down the road and fill out the depth better.

  16. Looking forward to seeing what he can do...if they could hit on either Clark or Derrick Jones that would be huge. If Burris ever gets his shit together & claibourne gets resigned they could be onto something in the secondary.Still will need a slot guy to replace skrine.

As for Mickens..he’s the definitive jets slot corner IMO.He wasn’t perfect but damn near close..slot work is a dirty job.He got in trouble whenever they tried lining him up on the outside. He would get boxed out & simply could not tackle against bigger outside WRs.

I think he'll play Safety as well.

It would something though if he stuck at CB, and started an entire "Big Corner' movement in the NFL..
Match him with bigger body guys like Mike Evans etc, to take away offenses jump ball isolation plays.

There's a good reason for that. On a positive note, I hear he's generous with the amount of fries he gives customers.

None of what you said is true. Not even the hair part.
