And I thought he waited too long to sign during Hard Knocks! It is almost December. Chiefs at Jets next week too. Classic Mevi$.
Hahhaha I was watching it when NFL Network broke the news live when it happened. Andrew Siciliano said "no, you are not being punked" lolol
I am surprised it is with the Chiefs considering their poor play the last 5 weeks. I thought he would go back to the Pats. I wonder how healthy he is. What has always made Revis great was his use of his hands at the Los. Last year he never used his hands. Was it the injury to his arm or was he compensating for lost speed? I would not be surprised to see him do well.
I can see Revis playing well for the rest of the year..The Chiefs will use him right and won't be dumb enough to leave him on an island they way we did for 2 years.
Mevi$ hustles another sucker Too funny .. I am sure Andy. Reid knows like Belichek what a character he is but guess this signing is "desperate for CB in playoff hunt" Lately his best moves are fleecing coaches and teams....glory days over truth be told
Yes I do think we get something offset. How much though? I read he signed for the vet minimum in 2017, and more than half the year is already over. So maybe 300-400k offset? Not much. Hopefully he can help the Chiefs beat the Pats again.. There'd be more value in that.
Knowing how much Bowles respects and admires old veterans, he will probably instruct Morton to stay away at not throw at Revis further limiting our limited offense.
They get back $312,500 plus what ever incentives are in the contract. He is essentially playing for free this season.
League minimum with incentives is hardly throwing money away for someone who is still going to get $5+ million from the Jets. Throwing away money was guaranteeing him $31 million.
