He was part of an offense that featured a te, so that's no excuse

Morton absolutely got too cute at times today... Some of those trick plays tricked no one. Belichek has been around too damn long not to sniff out bullshit plays like that. Patrica is a good DC and probably will be a great HC one day. He is learning from the best after all. Giving the Devil his due isn't a crime.

Not always a bad thing either. He's not perfect but his players are playing for him this year .

Bowles should have pulled a Lavar Ball and just pulled the team off the field.

While I respect a coach who can keep his cool and not get too caught up in the emotions of the game, I would expect and hope that any coach would go fucking ballistic on the refs to the point of almost getting kicked out when the absolutely atrocious calls that were called today continue to happen.

I feel like he's well on his way to getting a team to outperform expectations in 2 out of three seasons

They were playing against the super bowl champs. Adams is a rookie trying to cover the best TE in the league, IMO the Jets showed they can compete with and possibly even beat decent teams. They lost on a screwjob, so that speaks volumes. A few mistakes here and there that they can still clean up, but those wasted time outs early in the 2nd half definitely came back to haunt them. I don't remember if Bowles was responsible for those time outs, or if it was McCown, but that killed us at the end there.

Hard to say who was to blame - but both times we got out of the huddle with about 12 secs on the clock.
The second one we probably just taken the penalty at that point.

Lost in the craze over the horrendous call was Bowles equally horrendous clock management that cost us about 40 seconds and the benefit of the 2 min warning. You always take your TOs on plus side of 2 min warning that is coaching 101. By "saving" the TO we started drive with 1:52 and the TO with the 2 min warning lost to the change of possession. Had he called TO after 1st or 2nd down we would have gotten ball back with about 2:40 and the 2 min warning. That's indefensible and embarrassing for a 3rd year coach.

In my opinion Bowles is a good enough motivator to rah-rah a bad roster to 6-10 or 7-9, but we will never win a big game with him in the playoffs. I don't want him long term. Sorry.

He's not a good coach. Decent motivator but lousy on Sunday. He cannot be our long term guy

As usual, the game wasn't shown here, but the last few minutes were. On one play McCown was sacked and the announcers said that Dont'a Hightower overpowered Brandon Shell. Was Shell playing LT? The sack definitely came from the left side. If so, WHY? Were both Beachum and Ijalana injured?

One thing I can't get over with this team is, when the Jets are down multiple scores with time running out, the wasted time lack of ergency, not just with Bowles been that way for years

Agreed, it's really inexusable why they didn't take the time out when the Pats had the ball and it was third down with approximately 2:50 left. They let almost :40 second run off the clock. That is definitely on the coaching staff.

Also agreed on the lack of urgency when they got the ball back after the bogus TD reversal. The Jets managed to burn almost three minutes on 5 plays - including one incomplete. Unbelievable how poor that clock management was there.

Agree on lack of urgency point too. Overall I would never feel comfortable with Bowles managing a tight game in a big spot. He is the classic d coordinator pedigree, just doesn't understand game management and particularly when the offense has the ball

Shell was the RT and played a great game. They must have confused him with Beachum.

The clock management issue with Bowles is my pet peeve with this guy and it never gets better. Great job dissecting it. He will always lose the big game with that
