Possibly dumb question: are we not allowed to have green towels in the stands??

A long time ago they gave these small white towels with a rivet and a snap clip on them... perfect golf towels. I still have one clipped to my bag.

You fans who hate the green pants crack me up. I wish the team would wear them more just to see your rants. :p

Always thought why don’t we have a green out instead of a white out. Most fans have green jerseys not white but our organization does not get it

I have green towels from years ago (early Rex years, maybe the year they the kicked the Sh*t out of Peyton in playoffs too) when they had green out. I've found the white towels are better for rags than the green. I'll take any color towel next time as long as its a playoff towel, hopefully a home AFC Championship game towel.

You know how if you wear red clothing or a red bandana in the wrong parts of Compton or certain hoods in Los Angeles you can get shot if you end up on Crip turf?

Same thing at MetLife with a green towel. I wouldn't do it if I were you @Jedi mind tricks

Impossible, I believe that would be illegal, a federal offense even.

I remember green towels at one game in the nineties. But the ink was cheap, and the tears of all the Jets fans made the towels bleed green all over the aisles of the Meadowlands.

In another month the most popular look will be gray chairs.

Here's the plan. We change the uniforms to these and pass out white towels.

After seeing the uniforms, the fans vomit into their towels, and voila the towels match the uniforms! Vomit green out!

You know what cracked me up? Well, it cracked me up only because it was so typical. A few years back the Jets played Atlanta at home near Christmas and The Flight Whores wore RED SANTA OUTFITS AND RED SANTA HATS. I REPEAT, RED SANTA OUTFITS AND RED SANTA HATS when we played ATLANTA AT HOME. Why was this a problem, you ask? Well, MAYBE BECAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE OUR OWN IDIOT CHEERLEADERS WERE CHEERING FOR THE WRONG TEAM. Yeah, MAYBE THAT.

Green is a perfectly acceptable color for Christmas, but no, let's wear red, GO FALCONS! So, not only did the Jets lose a perfectly sensible opportunity to wear GREEN, you know, THE TEAM COLOR and have our Scores strippers still look all Christmasy, apparently wearing red spurred the Falcons to victory! JETS. GREEN, CHRISTMAS, what the F was so hard about connecting those dots?! Brilliant job by the marketing dept. We were booing those ho's like crazy. Well, we always do, but the moral of the story is only the Jets. And yes, I was yelling in this paragraph.

Well, yes, that was the moral of the story.

I thought that waiving a white towel was the international signal for truce or surrender.

    Geneva Conventions or something.

Well, well, well, look what we have here . . .

    Now wait for it . . . It's big . . . the suspense is probably killing you . . . the big reveal . . .

That's right, a goddamn marvel of modern science. A GREEN OUT. It came to me in a dream. OP can die in peace now.

EDIT & P.S.: A few other posters mentioned this was a real thing. The thread was turned into an episode of 'The X-Files'. Well, the truth was out there . . .

But the green out would require the dreaded green pants AND green jersey !! That's why they haven't done it lately . Woody cares about our opinions !

ROFLOL! At least you guys are consistent in your hatred of green pants. The next time I come up to NYC and go to a Jets game, I'll be sure to wear green pants! LOL

lol I kind of like the concept with a more docile green than the fluorescent green. Green and white would be kinda cool in that design for just one game.

I hope they don't start to destroy the uniforms now that Nike owns the rights. Simpler is better.
