Sorry if this is the wrong forum... Are there any cord cutters here? Looking to ditch a cable box from the house and the only thing holding me back at this point is how I'll be able to watch the Jets. What are the best methods to stream the Jets on a smart TV? I'm not looking for online illegal streams... I'm talking about programs that are made for streaming. IE: HBO GO
I was told there is this thing called Internet. I was also told this thing does wonders. ============================================================== Ok. Enough jokes. On a serious note: For legal options, NFL sells season pass at indeed very affordable $99. [Cheaper than any single seat in a stadium] https://gamepass.nfl.com/packages?redirected=true P.S. That link above is a piece of junk. Try this one below: https://nflst.directv.com/?CMP=LEC-P1-FM-EM-G-10072001
DirectTV will only allow you the internet option without getting their TV package if there's no way you can get reception or you live in an apartment complex that will not allow you to put up a dish. If you truly want free, do a google search for Reddit and NFL streams - most are crappy but 1 or 2 links are ok. There are other ways but most illegal - you'll need to do your homework if you plan to do that route.
1) Get a paid VPN service and select Netherlands as your country. 2) Get NFL Sunday Ticket for much cheaper than original price. Details below http://www.vpnspblog.com/watch-nfl-games/
Half cord cutter here (house has cable / apt does not). I have an apt in Jersey Cty for work (cheaper than commuting + an investment) - i have a roku tv with an HD antennae. As long as you're in or around the city (or where ever the antennae strength is strongest), you'll get crisp hd basic tv channels. Jets are generally on the locals so you'll always get it. If you live in outside the area, can't help you. Possibly Youtube or sub to nfl network.
I lived in Chicago for two years and I found a great Jets bar called Rebel. It felt dirty, in a good way.
I did this for the last four years (except I was from Argentina, I believe), but let it lapse this year because I wasn't in love with the options for transfer to the big screen from my laptop. Has the Chromecast option gotten any better? Last year it was hit or miss.
Watching will be interesting due to the fact that most people think we may go 0-16.So if the games somehow stay close it will be fun to watch.
It was a decent sports bar, but I just found out that they closed. http://chicago.metromix.com/venues/mmxchi-rebel-venue
