The problem with that is there is 6 wins to be had between Bills, Phins and Jets.
It could go 4 wins for one, 2 for another and a win less team, but could just as easily get split 2 wins a piece.

If is goes 2 wins a piece then each team is just a win or 2 away from taking themselves out of the #1 running, leaving it open for a team lke the Jags or Browns.

Jets could win 3 out of 4 from the Bills and Miami and find themselves in the 5 or 6 spot again.

You mean the d that let Detroit second stringers march 87 yards in 13 plays for a rd Saturday?
Wouldn't worry too much about that

Chicago looks terrible. Yes they signed Trubisky and Glennon so they don't need a QB, but they will still be awful and probably be in a spot to screw the Jets over with another team trading up or forcing the Jets to.

...they had marino if they wanted him..

from the organization that (in one year alone and in one round) gave us:
-Kyle Brady > Warren Sapp (HOF)
-Hugh Douglas (Central State) > Derrick Brooks (HOF)

(and in the very next round of that same draft):
    - Matt O'Dwyer > Curtis Martin (HOF)

tank is skank but so is 1970 and 1980 and 1990 and 2000 and 2010 with still no help in sight..

Being the Jets of course they could have a "The Producers" type of suck-for-sam scenario blow up in their face and have him return to USC for his junior year but at this stage of the game...

But that's the D that held the Titans to 3 points, and the Titans rang up 34 points vs the Panthers the very next week, and the Panthers are no slouches on D.

Don't sell them short, they are tremendous slouches.
I'll have to watch the panthers but I feel like they may be getting by on reputation . Regardless, that doesn't excuse what the jets d did against the lions

No, it doesn't excuse them at all. I just think they're not as bad as they were against the Lions. Almost certainly there will be some hiccups due to rookie inexperience, but if Mo reverts to form and Sheldon plays well in a contract year, along with improved play from our OLBs, I think that will help our secondary tremendously, and we'll have at least a pretty good, if not very good D. Of course, Rodgers and Bowles are the wild cards or jokes that could undo it all.

That's what I think we'll do also and it's not good enough to get a QB. They're going to go 1-2-3. I don't know what order they'll go in or even who the top 3 will be for that matter but they are all going at the top of the draft. 3 wins *might* get us there but I am thinking 2 is necessary.

I think the only certainty is good play from the d line, everything else is very much a question. A lot of potential in the secondary, the lber's will have to show me something before I consider them anything other than a weak link.

It's pathetic that you have to root for your team to lose

But to paraphrase Al Davis "Just lose baby!"

Can the Team comply???? Well sit back and enjoy the sh#t show on Sundays (I hope)

    Don't complain ...there's an Afterlife

If Luck isn't healthy and doesn't play many games Colts are another contender

Yes, but they won't be drafting a QB.

Great point; that slipped my mind.

Speaking of Colts QBs, I just want to toot own horn real quick. After playing well for the 2nd straight pre-season, my boy Stephen Morris is climbing up the depth chart. He's taken advantage of his very limited reps and pre-season garbage time; as of this week he is getting time with the 2s. It's quite an accomplishment for a kid that did not get drafted.

I felt like a proud papa listening to the Colts home announcers openly question on air during their second preseason game against the Cowboys why Morris doesn't get a chance with the 1s, crazy talk. Even Reggie Wayne tweeted that he should be playing more. It's taken a minute but some are starting see what I saw. There's talent there; he just needs some development and opportunity. Prior to the 2014 NFL draft I had an ongoing campaign going for us to draft him with a late round pick instead, we drafted Tajh Boyd.

The bears will be better than expected this year and I can't see how they don't go with Trubisky as starter. He has looked the part thus far in preseason.
