A couple more Jets receivers at that point might've allowed one of them to come down with it. I mean why not send the crowd? Everyone in the stadium knows he's going to throw it there anyway. But as for the throw, you really couldn't place it much better. Petty needs to be the starter at this point IMO. Hack ins't ready, and McCown is pure backup material.
i really didn't see much of difference between 2015 bowles and 2016 bowles. difference in record had more to do with loss of brick, fitz reverting back to fitz, mangold being done, revis being done, decker injured. he probably had some flaws covered up in 2015 but i don't think he is as bad as 2016 makes him seem. i don't know what coach overcomes the whole thing crumbling the way it did last year. he'sa coach, i'mnot ready to call him bad but don't think he is good yet, same as mac.. as always the jets screwed up the time frames by winning in year 1 and doubling down on that fools gold in year 2. now here we are year 3 and just starting a rebuild. j....e....t....s jets jets jets people bitching about his mannerisms and personality sound just like the rex progression, loved his braggadocio while he was winning but oh man when the losing started.
IT IS an embarrassment. Mac has had three drafts and picked a total of TWO OL and both in the 5th round. But he picked FOUR DBs in 2017 draft! Dumb shit--worse than Terry Boobway, if that is possible. Worst OL in NFL and he drafted a total of zero OL in 2017!!!!!! But we drafted a lot of DBs and WRs!

By the way David Clowney was a 5th round draft pick who was released by the team that drafted him who had a few good preseason games. Mahomes is a top 10 pick who a coach known for being a QB whisperer traded up to get. Despite already having a quality starting QB only in his early 30s that led his team to 14-2 record the previous year. I don't think they are the same.
Because he's the backup LT. You don't want him getting hurt playing RT and then there is zero depth at LT. Also, because he hasn't been part of the competition for the RT spot. That's a two-man race between Qvale and Shell.
