There were already plenty of republican challengers who billed themselves as having republican values and competence.

But the republican voters wanted the reality TV idiot

The whole slate of challengers was more of the same old - given the options the reality TV idiot was the correct choice

The biggest mistake in the whole election was the democratic party sabotaging Sanders and fixing the primaries with super delegates and backroom strong arming so he couldn't win. Sanders would have won the election against Trump

What "Trump supporters" are you even talking about?

I said the "establishment" DNC gave rank-and-file Democrats a big 'fuck you' by greasing the skids on behalf of the establishment's coronation queen.

    - shady, non-inclusive debate schedule
    - threats directed by the DNC chair at Democratic candidates not named 'Hillary' who spoke out against the debate charade
    - DNC chairperson having to step down in the middle of primary showtime
    - canned DNC chairperson immediately brought on board the coronation queen's campaign team

what part of this 'divisive charade' did you miss?

Of course Hillary was the alternative. She's no angel, but she also isn't the wicked witch of the east the right-wing media makes her out to be. What do you consider as GOP values? Traditional GOP free market economics/limited government or Trumpist politics?

Delivering what exactly? Entertainment value? So far he's appointed a Supreme Court justice any Republican president would've appointed, rolled back a few regulations any Republican would've done, and thankfully failed to get Congress to pass Trumpcare.

Says that you're an idiot who actually pulled the lever for one of these clowns. OTOH, I preferred neither and didn't voted for either, so don't play fast and loose with the assumptions, snowflake.

Frankly, this last election and this present administration can be best described as "amateur hour". We were given perhaps the worst choice of candidates in the history of this country in Hillary the corporate candidate vs. Trump the anti-establishment/anti-Obama white empowerment candidate. Shit choices and it really didn't matter who won since we would be fucked either way. The degree of fucking is the only question remaining.

We saw it during the campaign. Hillary struggling to connect with not only her core voters, but swing voters as well. Trump appealing to reactionary disaffected whites fearful of a country that is slowly but inevitably getting browner and darker.

The side that won is now realizing that winning doesn't mean acquiescing by the defeated. The side that won can't get anything done because they've been in opposition so long that the art of bargaining and compromise was lost to them so long ago that everything is a zero sum, all or nothing proposition

The real "leaders" prefer to stay in the background and watch which way the wind blows. Today, they're in Trump's column. Tomorrow, they're being responsive to their constituents. The people try and want to believe what they're being told but daily, information comes out in complete contradiction to that so we see the creation of "fake news" aka "alternative facts".

for all the hysteria and pretending like Mussolini is stealing people's babies there pretty much has been nothing Trump has done that actually affected anyone, good or bad. Of course there's 3.5 years left but snowflakes equate lack of political correctness with concentration camps for some reason

I said you prefer Trump to Hillary, which is obvious from your posts. Also, the snowflake insult doesn't really work. It's too flattering. Better to stick to classics like bleeding heart, east coast liberal, west coast liberal, draft dodger, flip flopper, or eunuch.

Stick your head in the sands much?

    Travel ban
    Obamacare repeal
    Tax cuts
Rollbacks on various groups starting with women
    Destroying public education

[Other branches of government had to cut in to STOP these.]

Ah - they are not middle-aged white male group, so they don't count. Right?

I think he just means it hasn't affected him personally so it's all good as far as he cares.

Why are you so damn salty over this? Do you feel betrayed by the DNC after voting Obama twice? Why do you use right-wing rhetoric and call people in this liberal circle jerk (you're covered, btw, speaking of salty) snowflakes? It seems like you get off on what you see as exposing the hypocrisy of the world. I'd call that jaded.

Like three posts ago you said he was voted to shake things up and he's delivering. Now you are saying he is accomplishing nothing. Which is it?

I agree with this one. He hasn't accomplished a damn thing
