Almost anyone but the Dolans. I guess there could always be a worse owner, but the Jets would be hard-pressed to find one worse than Hess and now Johnson. Johnson is somewhat better than Hess. Maybe we can take another step up the ladder or two in terms of owners.
Why there is so much hate for Woody anyway? He opened his wallet, he's been on board with changes, keeps his hands away from the team. During Tebow time -- sure, I could understand the sentiment. What exactly are you complaining about now? There was a shift in his mentality after Idzik: he hired people and stayed away. I.e. provided resources without undue interference. So what more do you need from him?
He stayed away? Where were you last year? Do you even know how the organizational structure looks like with the current Jets?
He is always involved in team decisions and constantly meddles. It's laughable that you think he doesn't interfere and takes a hands off approach. I'm still in a state of shock that he agreed to the rebuild. I'll be even more surprised if has the patience to stick with it for 2-3 more seasons. I'm almost positive that he will screw it up at some point. Either he'll order Mac to start trying to be as competitive as he can again and return to bringing in older FAs, or if Bowles shows no improvement, he'll stick with him, or do something to sabotage this working. He is a doofus. He's never worked a day in his life. He's a dilettante and has nothing else to do with his time but to meddle. Hopefully, being an ambassador will keep him so busy that he won't even have time to think about the Jets for a few years.

I think it's all about the PSLs and keeping those fans in those seats. He wants the Jets on the backpages, not the Giants. That said, I think he was starting to learn after the Idzik issue. But this season will tell us how good of an owner Woody has potentially become.
