It doesn't get rid of anything that has to do with bodily fluids, dog farts, menstruation, urine, cat piss, the shits, and human body clean up. Oh, by the by, buy REGULAR DETERGENT - if you can still find it in this commie country - and dilute it 4 parts to 1 and save yourself a bundle. What a racket. Anyway, fairly soon I'm gonna start going back to the creek and use a washboard because it's that bad. We had an ancient Sears Kenmore that was more like a food processor than a washing machine (RIP), but F if that thing didn't get it done. Got to the point that servicing it wasn't worth the body parts it would spew on spin (a shame), but seriously, this piece of hippy chit does NOT do the job.

Are you using the Pods or HE liquid detergent?

We had a similar problem with our HE, it ended not being the machine but the stupid pods. We switched to HE liquid detergent and it's been great.

    LG from Home Depot.

Are you sure you really hate it or is it just that time of the month?

On the bright side, the thing is going to break inside three years anyway, so your opportunity to replace it will come soon enough.

I thought this was some new brand of washer, been 14 years since I bought a washing machine so had no idea about high efficiency machines. I'm sure it's just like the water saving shower heads that I have to take apart, and remove the flow restrictor, to make work correctly. There are probably some useless parts in there that save water but make it work like crap.

I remember maybe 25 years back when low flow toilets were becoming more popular, I was service manager for a plumbing company and we had so many service calls on toilets we just installed because like a new model car they need a year to work the kinks out. Looks like the HE washer needed more than a year to work out the kinks.

In the cooler months I use less than 15 KwH per day and when it heats up I am still less than 30 KwH per day, I also use less than 4000 gallons of water a month so I am keeping my energy hog and water hog appliances and plumbing fixtures.

Agitator washers, your clothes were in the twist claws of Death. That fckn thing was constantly off balance, but it was a sweet sound, because I knew my bras were being properly murdered. My dainties protested the beat down, but yes, I've never worn an underwire since.

    ^ This.

@jetophile: If you want to return to the "good old days," buy a Speed Queen top loader, then adjust the fill switch ala one of the Youtube "how to" videos, and Presto, you have a durable high capacity non high efficiency top load washer. Generally-speaking though, newer machines just aren't built as well it seems although this one's a good bet: Speed Queen’s mechanical-control AWN432.

I did too, maybe even the same set. Threw in a couple of older feather and down bed pillows the other day and they came out like new.

LG top loader, oversized drum to fit king size comforter, machine is excellent. I think the LG washer machines are currently the better models in the market.

Original maytag washer we had lasted 25 years, dryer is still going strong, we only replaced washer.
