It's amazing how much interchangeability happened between the Jets and the Colts back then, player and coaching wise. Electric football became a great cause for confusion. Who didn't love finger football, btw? I was pretty good at FGs. It's the only time I ever scored at life.
Who's 41? He almost looks like he's getting ready to punch someone and his chin strap isn't fastened. Is that Matt Snell?
Matt Snell is one of my favorite Jets of all time. He hates the Jets and won't have anything to do with them. They gave him a verbal on a personnel position before he retired - probably something minor - but they never followed through. The Jets are dead to him, and he's really bitter about it. Sad. Sometimes I really hate the Jets, too. Who still has their Snell poster? Anyway, Abduuuuuuuuuuuul Salaaaaaaaaaaaaam! Ooops, I mean Larry Faulk.
Met Dave Herman at Hofstra, I printed out about 50 pictures of him from www.broadwayjoe.org, he loved them, nice man
I hate to learn that about Snell and the Jets. He was one of my favorite Jets of that era, and of all time. Woody needs to make that right. They need to honor him or do something to make it up to him if they can.
Well, they tried to honor him. Boozer got inducted into the Ring of Honor and so did Snell - but Snell ignored then FO and Boozer was by himself. Snell refuses all contact with the team. There a couple of other rumors about why he avoids the Jets like the plague, but whatever it truly was, he isn't getting over it. He's that angry.
