Formally with the Steelers. Not enough safeties already or maybe our two rookies safeties aren't enough and we are going with an all safety secondary.
The rookie safety's will be the starters unless one of them get banged up. So it makes sense to bring in another body. Even though he played sparingly, he is a vet. And that could help the rookies get up to NFL speed. He can also play on the special teams, and that's another plus. I like the pickup and sure won't miss Pryor.
I remember him from Syracuse but haven't heard anything about him ever since. Chances are he'll be nothing more than TC material and released during cuts.
This is likely just a numbers thing for training camp. Roland Martin & Doug Middleton in the mix as well.
I remember watching him in college at Cuse. He was definitely not afraid to hit someone. He was actually fairly decent in college, I just think that his size limits him.
