Fitz is already trying to figure out who the psycho LB in the lockerroom is. Next step: instigate a fight between him and Jameis.
Any team that signs that no talent hack should be forced to give an equal amount to charity. If you're gunna waste money might as well give some for the public good.
fitz gets way too much shit on this board he gave us one of the 5 best passing seasons in Jets's history and by all accounts was a fantastic teammate. he sucked last year, no doubt, but that is no reason to constantly hack on him
With our storied QB history in this franchise- that is nothing to really be proud of. What has Fitzpatrick accomplished in his career? He is pure garbage, and is a career backup Qb.
Makes sense for Bucs. Depends on what they will pay him though. I now feel bad for Jameis. It is almost a guarantee he will get hurt now that Fitz signed with the Bucs.
No MR17, they aren't. They already have a loaded team on offense. If Jameis goes down, Fitz can do a good job holding down the fort. Just my opinion. Much better move than Giants signing Geno imo.
Yeah, he's a backup, but he didn't come here pretending to be anything else. He was pressed into service and did a remarkable job for one year. As far as I can tell, he didn't insist on being the starter last season. It was Bowles and some teammates that made the noise about wanting him back. I don't blame him for wanting a contract that paid him close to what many starting QB's in the league were making with worse records. I blame this management team for not recognizing that even though he had success in 2015, he was not a FQB caliber player and did little to address the FQB issue. And for the record, he accomplished quite a bit in his career, he had three stints as a starting QB coming out of a Ivy League program. I would venture there are a lot of backup QB's in this league that would give their left n*t to have played in as many games as he has. Wish him nothing but the best.
Fitz has a long history of coming off the bench and winning games. He did it for the Rams, the Bengals, Bills, Titans, Texans, and Jets. He's only a waste of money as a starter.
Hopefully it's not week 17, against Buffalo, during a win & you're in the playoffs type of situation, because then Fitztragic, Shitzpatrick, Shitztragic etc whatever you wish to call him, he will without question; lay a Goose egg. Last offseason? I could not forget his horrible week 17 performance from the year before. Throughout the entire offseason I wanted nothing to do with a career backup QB earning a payday. I continued to mention how his lack of arm strength would limit our entire offense. He ruined our season & gave our defense no chance. To hold out? As if he was some type of quality NFL starting QB? And then shit-the-bed as the career backup QB he's always been? Dude is a bum. I could deal with Geno, Petty or Hackenberg struggling. But watching Fitzpatrick last year was just too much for me.
