Eli is a Hall of Fame QB.

You can't tell the story of the NFL during his career without mentioning him several times, including two of the greatest Super Bowl upsets of all time in which he was MVP both games.

He should be a first ballot HoF pick without any controversy although much like Joe Namath he may have to wait a year or two to get in.

Exactly. It's the Hall of Fame. Not the Hall of the Statistically Elite.

Then why is Marino in there? Clearly stats matter.

Marino was famous. He was the best QB in football for a decade plus and the first guy to ever pass for 5,000+ yards in a season. That's fame. That's not stat accumulation where most fans don't know your name and you just quietly keep piling up the numbers. It's real fame. Every NFL fan knew Dan Marino's name by 1988.

Drew Brees will get in for the same reason eventually.

What about Tebow? Is name recognition really that important?

Or the pats* hid multiple concussions from the injury report over multiples years when the league was cracking down. It will be interesting to see if the commish cracks down or is back to being Kr*fts errand boy.

So Tom Brady has had multiple concussions according to his wife and not once have we seen these concussions reported on the injury report by the Pats.....this is not a good look. Furthermore, with how the league is trying to tighten up regarding concussions with CTE and lawsuits, this impacts it as well.

I think its fairly obvious what the pats are doing. And given all their championships its not a lack of foresight. Because of this years perceived deep draft, Picks are worth more this year than normal. So everyone wants picks so the pats trade them for talent. They zig when everyone zags. They turned the 32 pick in to cooks got ealy for an 8 pick trade up. If the league values picks over talent cause of a draft than the patriots value talent that year. They pay revis 12mil over two years when his value is low. We give him 39mil guaranteed over 3 when he is washed up.

Good has to investigate given the scrutiny the NFL is under regarding concussions.
The league has a certified trainer in the box watching the game and replays as well as a neuro-trauma expert physician on the sidelines . Both are there to identify any player who may have sustained a concussion. Brady was never suspected to have sustained a possible concussion this year.
The culture of football is you suck it up and play. Players are much more likely to share a concern with their wife or girlfriend then the trainers where concussions are concerned.
The league would have to prove the Pat's we're aware of Brady having a concussion and that's not going to happen. If your waiting for any punishment, your going to be disappointed.
