    MAYBE the Jets are due....

    Namath - 1969
    Todd - 1981
    Obrien - 1991 (Pro Bowl)
    Pennington - 2008

so, project out an average of +/- 10 years between successful Qb development, the Jets should be due in 2018 so I guess there IS hope after all! :)

Come on now. I know he led us to our only ring but he was not a good QB.

    173 TD
    220 INT
    50% completion

Those are his career numbers over the span of 13 years. That's... bad.

So now we're debating if the only QB to win us a VLT was any good?

We shoulda bought Sanchez back at 2 million...just for the laughs.

No we aren't debating it. Look at those numbers. There is no debate: he wasn't good. But I'm forever grateful for him, that's for sure.

Obviously you had to watch Joe Willie play to understand his greatness, whoever didn't see him it's your loss

Where's Stokes when you need him? Lmao

Is there any living soul who watched him play that thinks he wasn't good?

No there isn't, that I've seen.

I don't know that we "developed" Namath. He was already a great QB when the Jets drafted him.

    Spot on.

And he only had 1 & half legs by the time he started.

    He redefined the game.

Because I'm not really interested in actually watching Josh McCown play quarterback. It's a means to an end, but I'm actually going to have to watch him play.
