Hes a qb making 2 mil dollars on a one year deal to be a third stringer. Only geno would think thats a perfect situation. He will be out of league in a few years. What a waste of a human being.
Looking at the dollar value of the deal one has to wonder is this a deal done looking towards 2018 with the expectation Geno will either start the year on the pup list or possibly be on IR all year. I imagine he is going to have a difficult time being ready to play by July if not by the time the season starts. If he was healthy, as sad as it sounds, he likely woukd have been our best option this year.
As many have already said, this comment by Geno is NOT a shot on the Jets. Even if it were, can you blame the guy?! The whole, getting his jaw broken and losing his job because of it kind of sucks for him don't ya think?
Who cares what that POS has to say? He not only brought himself down via his terrible play, but also and most egregious, the TEAM when he was got into that altercation. Probably the dumbest, lowest intelligence move for ANY football player to make, let alone one that is supposed to be a leader? I'm telling you right now, him being gone was the BEST move Mac made this offseason and probably the best release of his career in NY.....
Who cares? He made his own bed. It's not like he didn't ask to get his jaw broken? He got in IK Enemkpali's face. He ANTAGONIZED him and he lost his job because he plainly SUCKED as a QB for two seasons prior to the whole incident. There's ZERO sympathy for this thug.........
Seems Geno realizes he's in a far better situation now than he was with the Jets. Better coaching. "mentoring" and almost a clean slate. As far as his career goes, he landed on his feet (or his ass depending on how long he rides the pine..)
He said what should be said when joining a new team , his emphasis on being on a winning team was a very light shot at the Jet organization, the Organization certainly deserved it. It is too bad the chances he had to be a winning qb were not taken advantage of by HIM. When he is starting in the Arena League he might be able to play well enough to qb a team to be a winner.
While I won't be losing any sleep whatsoever over losing this guy, he ain't in the wrong for saying any of this
No matter what he said, there are a lot of Jets fans whose hatred of Geno runs so deep that whatever comes out of his mouth will be critiqued and criticized. Have at it. Trash him all you want. I'm just sad to see another highly drafted QB walk out the door for nothing after 4 miserable years. Petty is next. Go fucking Jets.
Except the problem is that he didn't even say that the Jets sucked . . . he merely stated that the Giants were good. This is the biggest reach of all time.
