He may have been prepping to be a HC, but that doesn't mean he has an experienced, quality staff lined up. He may have some coaches lined up, but they could all be first-timers at their jobs as well. No thanks. That's the Jets' history in a nutshell. I'm sick of it. We need an experienced HC with experienced, quality coordinators and position coaches.

The only way to get an experienced HC with experienced quality coordinators and position coaches is to trade for one and that price is always a 1st round pick plus. This assuming that we can force a trade as we did with Parcells and as the Pats did with Belichik.

Parcells brought in a lot of the Patriots coaches with him. Belichik took some of the Jets coaches with him. Jon Gruden took some of the Raiders coaches with him to Tampa Bay. The Bucs paid TWO 1st rounders and TWO 2nd rounders to the Raiders for Gruden. They won a championship and then fired Gruden a couple of seasons later and sucked balls for a decade after that. The Raiders managed to suck balls for the same period of time despite the 4 high picks they got for Gruden.

If the Jets made this kind of deal right now it would be something like Andy Reid deciding he wanted to get back to the East Coast and the hell away from Alex Smith, assuming the Chiefs lose to the Steelers tomorrow night. The cost would be the 6 pick plus our 2nd round pick in this year's draft.

That is not the real world. Successful coaches just don't swap teams. Who do you want, Sean Payton? Who is his d coordinator? His o coordinator is him. Dan Quinn had a plan when he went to Atlanta. Bowles showed up here and brought in an experienced OC that was available. Too bad he completely sucked which is why he was available.

Gailey doesn't suck. His play calling is mixed. His play design is excellent. Gailey was the ONLY experienced coach on the CS. All the rest were first timers in their respective positions.

Right. Shanahan is going want to come to the Jets and as a rookie HC he'll be able to put together a quality, experienced CS, and that's reality. ROFLMAO. Whatever.

I didn't say anything about swapping teams. Experienced HCs DO get fired, and because they've been around in the NFL for a while, they have lots of contacts and know lots of coaches. They have many friends. They can put together a quality CS. If you don't think that's reality, then I have nothing further to say to you. Andy Reid was available a few years ago. So was Jim Harbaugh. So was Vince Lombardi and lots of others. I guess they all sucked because they were available.

Take your trolling back to your Broncos site.

No, it isn't. Did the Chiefs trade for Andy Reid? Did the Packers or Redskins trade for Vince Lombardi? Yes, some HCs have been "traded" and took a few assistants with them, but that isn't the norm.

No, he does suck. He has never been a OC for a team for more than a 2 year span and he was out of the league for 3 years before dumbass Bowles. If he was so great, why didn't anyone keep him and why was he out of the league?

Red75bronco = red 1975 Ford Bronco. Genius there is a pic of it in my avatar.
