Its soon to be that time of year again, I love watching training camp battles for roster spots. Last year I was rooting for Marcus Williams and Chris Owusu. Sad to see Owusu retire, but Marcus has been the real deal with 6 interceptions off of the bench. This year I am rooting for Brent Qvale (hoping the he becomes a good tackle for us- we need it) and Deon Simon (hoping he becomes the next Snacks). I would love to see these guys get closer to becoming good starters for us in the future. So which lesser known players are you guys rooting to succeed in camp?
Brent Qvale, Charone Peake, Jarvis Harrison, Deion Simon, Wes Saxton, Freddie Bishop, Quenton Bundrage, Robby Anderson, Jalin Marshall
Jeremy Ross..he's known around the league already but I hope he can be an above average returner for us. Thats something we havent had in years.
I agree on Ross. I didn't list him because he's been around for 4 years in the NFL, but he is a lesser-known player, so I should have included him.
Yea I'm not so sure that many regular fans even know he's on the roster. His track record should give him a nice advantage to get every shot to earn either or both return man gigs.
The guy I'm going to be watching is Peake. I'm also going to be keeping an eye on Enunwa. One of those guys is likely to be a big surprise this year and the offense could use a nice one.
Peake, Qvale, and Bishop are all really good choices already listed. I'll add Edwards/Hackett at P, and Jalen Marshall at PR.
Idk if rookies are allowed, but I think J Jenkins will become a big part of our D. This year, and for years to come
Dozier, Jarvis Harrison and Qvale. We have to have a fix for the right side of the line. I like Winters as depth but the guy just scares the bejesus out of me being a starter for an entire season.
Robby Anderson. Could end up filling the role that Devin Smith was drafted for. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Quite frankly, the punters. I would love to have a field flipping punter for once. Also, even though he's been here for a while, I'd like to see if Zach Sudfield can really become a Baby Gronk. _
Dozier, Deon Simon, Lawrence Okoye--listed as DL, but I remember they had him practicing at OT last year?, Ijalana, and Julian Howsare. Good call on the guys who listed Catapano and Qvale, I think either of those guys becoming solid starters would make us a MUCH better team. It would be REALLY nice if either DeeDee or McDooDoo could show us something, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
