    Happy Turkey Day Gang Green!

Does anyone else find it odd that we have 3 games (6 teams) playing today and that all turkey day participant are NFC teams?

The main networks Fox(NFC) and CBS (AFC) are usually tied to one of the conferences.(this has been the case forever dating back to the days of NBC and CBS) The road team dictates which network has the game.
Therefore either Dallas or Detroit being both NFC teams would have one of them playing an AFC team on Thanksgiving.

It also seems to me that the AFC has quite often had the night game being that 3/4 of the day games were NFC teams.

Today we get -- Eagles vs Detroit (Who gives a crap)
Panthers vs Boys (Saves the day for me living in North Carolina)
Bears vs Packers (Another who gives a crap)

Being a primarily AFC fan, although I do root for the local Panthers - this kind of sucks watching football that has absolutely not impact on the AFC playoff picture at all today. I wonder how this came to be. We now will have announcers on CBS and their pregame primarily focusing on teams and a conference that they do not devote much attention to.

EDIT - Just checked the history. I did not remember, but this has happened last year with 6 NFC Teams playing as well and was the first time since the merger no AFC team playing. So apparently some kind of change in the deal has occurred.

I have the same problem. 6 NFC teams. My shitty Indian boss put some meetings on schedule for the 12:30 PM game and I am glad it is a meaningless game. Last year 6 NFC teams as well.

Looks like AFC isn't getting any love. Would have loved to watch some of the rivals on Wild Card to be on TV but it is football. I will still watch when my meeting is over.

    Good Grief !
    Philadelphia has completely fallen apart.

I hope the Panthers kick the Cowboys butt. I can't stand Jerry Jones.

    Go Packers !

The Eagles are like that really pretty girl that gets way too much plastic surgery and ends up butchering herself.

Perfect analogy. Couldn't watch the game as I had a meeting but the score is unbelievable. I hate Eagles since the day they beat us on Week 3. I hope they crush and burn without winning any other game this year. Idiots. Now time for Cowboys to lose. I hope they are out of play off race by the time we play them.

I don't hate Cowboys. They are the team I like in NFC East. But we have a game with them and I want Cowboys to be out of playoff race by the time we play them.

I don't hate the Cowboys either.
I have nothing against Dallas or the Cowboy fans.
I have always rooted against the Cowboys because they are an East Division rival, but I used to respect the Cowboys before Jerry Jones bought the team. Under the old ownership when Tom Landry was the coach, I respected them.

Jerry Jones is just a rich old jock-sniffer who bought a team so he could play coach. Jones 'constant meddling is what's wrong with the Cowboys. All of the players and assistant coaches know that Jason Garret is just a lackey and Jones makes all the decisions. Jones doesn't respect Garrett, why should the players take him seriously.

Jerry Jones is a creep. I love to see him lose.

Simms and Nantz kept going on about the pass being incomplete even though the ref was right there signaling Beasley down at the spot

they're not even paying attention to the field

when will teams learn not to punt from the other team's 40?

What would you rather them do? Kick a 55 yard field goal and if they miss get the ball back at the 40?

It's the way of the NFL, force them to go the length of the field on every possession possible.

It's worked for Bellicheat for decades.

tony homo two TDs in the first half

Carolina defense thankful today that they're being targeted

    no, you go for it

4th and 3, it's an obvious go for it situation when you're on the other side of the field and outside of FG range

when a punt is unlikely to net you a lot, you go for it

the smart coaches are aggressive on 4th down

Luke Kuechly a favorite target of Romo's today.

That's two receptions, including a TD for him

Let me ask it a different way, if the Jets special teams returned the ball to their 40 on half of their returns, would you say they sucked on special teams or would you say they were the best on special teams?
