A car accident is something that can happen at random with various things in play, a fireworks accident especially a hand injury like that is usually someone doing something stupid with explosives.
If he was doing something dumb like trying to light too many at once or screwing with them to get a bigger explosion, then I completely agree. But if he was using them properly and it just blew up on him then I really don't see where all of this criticism is coming from.
We don't know the whole story. Could have been stupidity, could have been a fluke. Bad firework, clumsy hands. Who knows. we do know sheldon knew he can't smoke weed without risk of suspension and did anyway.
Stories say that he had a u haul truck full of fireworks. Like I said an injury like that is usually due to stupidity
Well, according to what I've found on Google, Sheldon weighs in at around 294 lbs and JPP at around 278 lbs. This, in turn, makes Sheldon the bigger idiot.
How do you know it was a freak accident? How do you know he wasn't being an idiot like that guy in Maine who put one on his head and it exploded?
JPP could very well play another snap before Sheldon. It depends how JPP got hurt, did he pull a "Hold my beer and watch this" or did a firework malfunction? Sheldon, as stated, is a repeat offender whose next strike I believe will be his 5th which is probably a 1 year ban. Sheldon is the bigger idiot as he keeps repeating the same idiotic mistake over and over thinking he won't be caught. JPP risked a whole lot more but it would appear only one time.
People drive because they have to in today's society. You drive to work, to buy food, etc. It is a risk, but it is one we have to take. There is no alternative. Nobody has to use fireworks. They serve no essential purpose. If you want to see fireworks, take your lawn chair and blanket to your local fireworks display and let the fire department take the risks. Throw in that JPP is a professional athlete and risked tens of millions dollars engaging in a completely unnecessary dangerous activity and he is the bigger idiot by far. Richardson lost four pay checks. JPP lost his finger and part of his hand for life along with jeopardizing his career.
Sheldon gets my vote. He could have killed himself, everyone in the car with him or someone else driving 145 mph running from the cops and he had a gun too. JPP almost blew off his hand but his effup was more 'innocent' imo he was just having fun on July 4th.
I think when folks say Sheldon was just immature or stupid, I think what they meant to say that it was JPP that was immature or stupid. What Sheldon was neither immature nor just stupid. _
