    Junior wins Daytona

    insane wreck as he crossed finish line

    behind him

    Austin Dillon goes airborne, into fence, lands upside down, gets hit again by another car


    his #3 in pieces

    but Dillon unscathed

    minor injuries to three fans

    Worst crash I've seen in years. I was expecting them to be pulling a body out of that car. Unreal he only has a few bruises and soreness. If that crash took place before all the safty systems were put into place after Dale Sr's death he'd probably be dead right now.

    Just shows how far they've come with the safety protocols and equipment.

    If that crash happened in the 20th century, I think the driver would be dead and all we'd be talking about would be mourning the passing. Memorials, etc.

    Amazing that fans were not seriously injured either, given what happened to the fence.

    The stands were packed. Most fans stayed despite the lengthy rain delay. Race ended 2:42 AM.
