I thought Rex hated Simms? Interesting.

No, he's most likely going to battle it out with Tyrod Taylor for 3rd string.

If Matt starts for the Bills it's a clear sign of major trouble at the offensive helm for Rex. Once again the defensive guru will field a team and have no real offense to speak of.

For some reason they seem to like Tyrod. He seems to think he's going to win the job and they actually have given him some #1 reps. I'd say Simms best case scenario is PS if he even has eligibility left which I'm not sure he does.

So let me guess. The reason that many of you prefer Simms to Geno is because he wasn't given the opportunity to suck. Even though, chances are 99.9 percent he would have sucked. Okay. Makes sense.

I was reading a bleacher report article on Rex and looked at the comments for shits and giggles. An overwhelming amount of Bills fans think Tyrod is going to win the job. Could be a similar situation to the Simms supporters here. They think they know what they've got in EJ and Cassell, and want to see what Tyrod's got. He did sit behind Flacco for multiple years, and Roman likes mobile Qb's.

The same fans think they are a lock for the AFC championship, and definitely Super Bowl bound by next season. So I take those opinions with a grain of salt.

Yeah I could care less what their fans think. Rex tried trading for Tyrod when he was here and made it a priority to sign him. Just from what he's been given in practice and what he says off the field Tyrod thinks he is going to win the job. Regardless, I don't see anyway the 3 Bills QB's aren't Cassell, Taylor, and Manuel. Barring an injury Simms is in the same situation there maybe getting the #4 PS spot.

Exactly. But I'll take that 1/10 of 1 % over Mark and Geno who are 100%.

Bingo...that would be EXACTLY your average Jets luck. Simms goes to the Bills and ends up being the "answer" they've been looking for since Kelly. I know it's quite a stretch but that would be sooooo the Jets thing to happen.

I remember when Mo Lewis took out Drew Bledsoe and thinking how the Patriots were screwed.

    Surprise!

Lol, don't worry, Matt Simms won't amount to anything. Bet your house on it.

Not really surprised they kept Heaps over him. Cutting him early gives him a chance to land somewhere else. and Heaps, if he sticks, can be stuck pretty safely on the practice squad for future development. I don't think Simms had that option.

Rex will take any opportunity to sign a ex-Jet.. Or an ex-Jet coach.. Or an ex-Jet foot massager

Which brings me to my point. It makes absolutely no sense at all for Simms to go to Buffalo. He'll be revisiting the same situation he was in while he was here. Simms to Buffalo is the very definition of insanity. Time to Phil to sit his kid down and have "The Talk". Go North young Simms. Your future is in Canada..

Simms will have a new offensive coordinator and Buffalo is lacking at QB so he may have a decent shot at the #2 job or better.
