Agreed, totally unrealistic. And some of the higher talents that are still available (e.g. in round 3) are pipe dreams as well.

You do miss the point a little. It's a game and not a full out simulator. The idea is to get as high of a score as possible by getting the best values possible. Are the trades urealistic, probably yeah. But it's there to give you flexibility to try to get best value to boost your score.

as far as players falling, there are always surprise players who fall further than expected, and some that rise unexpectedly.

Most of my best scores in the sim have come with between 0 and 2 trades.

Your score is: 4845 (GRADE: A-)

    Your Picks:

Round 2 Pick 5: Jaelen Strong, WR, Arizona State (A-)
Round 3 Pick 6: Gerod Holliman, FS, Louisville (B+)
Round 4 Pick 5: Cedric Ogbuehi, OT, Texas A&M (B+)
Round 5 Pick 6: Jacoby Glenn, CB, UCF (A)
Round 7 Pick 6: Antwan Goodley, WR, Baylor (B-)

    Your Future Picks:
    2016 Round 1 Pick
    2017 Round 1 Pick

Not very realistic considering I got Holliman in the 3rd but I would love this draft.

FTR, I did this draft under the assumption of a few things. We sign a starting caliber OG & CB in FA, sign one of the stop gap QB options, and we cut Harvin.

I could see Holiman falling to the 3rd since he's somewhat liable against the run but the kids such a ballhawk teams will overlook that I think.

Can't believe Ereck Flowers fell to my 2nd. This draft would make our offense pretty gatdang scary, but admittedly leaves the D pretty neglected. Just couldn't find much value outside of Kevin Johnson. But say we signed an OLB, FS, CB, and OG in free agency...

    If only.

Have you ever had that one perfect moment? That moment where everything just fell in to place? Perfect trade downs, perfect players falling..I had that perfect moment, and of course I pissed it away on the draft sim instead of buying a Lottery ticket or bumping in to a rich beautiful woman who instantly fell madly in love with me.

Yeah, too many picks. Only posting this because while I have seen some of these players drop on occasion like this never in all my drafts have I hit something like this. yes it's Madden, yes it's not even close to my best score.
But even if you cut the number of picks in half I'd just kill for it.

I like him as a 4th or later pick. He's got flaws but he's got a big upside.

Yeah, I was clowning around on that draft because the sim was giving too much value on trade downs, I got a 1,2 and 3rd to move down 2 spots, and another first and 2nd and 3rd to move down to 10 and then cleveland offered me both their first round picks and a 3rd so I went with it. total overpayments on all of those. What surprised me though was the number of players that in that particular draft dropped lower than I had seen many of them drop before. I had never seen Cooper still on the boards at 19, I don't think I'd ever seen Perryman drop to the 3rd before, or Prewitt that low either. In fact the entire 3rd and 4th rounds were just about the lowest I had seen any of them still on the boards at the point they were picked.

I'd call that an exception draft if you just had the two first rounders and the first pick of each of the following rounds would be a total killer draft. That said it would never fall that way, but these things do happen occasionally in a game that has a degree of random number generation involved in the picks...but yeah, give me the first 3 picks of that draft and I'd call it a total win.

Frack, if I hadn't blown the last two picks it would have broken 6k. The game is really Devaluing Cam Thomas at this point, he used bot be an A there if you hadn't taken any other CB's.
