Part of Sanchez's problem in getting sacked is his love of the double and triple pump fake, any time you pump fake it adds another 1 or 2 seconds the O-line has to hold off defenders. He doesn't have a quick release to begin with.

And he now has a losing record as the Eagles starter.

the 374 yards is a little misleading since he threw the ball over 50 times, but on the other hand the fact that he threw 50 times and only had 1 pick was almost impressive....if the pick hadn't cost them the game....I hate to say this because it's quoting Skip Bayliss, a man I despise, but 'Sanchez is the ultimate accident waiting to happen.'.

How about the kicker blowing 2 kicks and the defense giving up 27 points to RG3.

Geno 4 starts against San Diego, Buffalo, Miami and Tennessee he threw for 98 less yards than Sanchez tonight. But yes lets keep ripping a guy who isn't on our team and is clearly better than our QB.

This means nothing, Mark Sanchez is still mediocrity at its finest with a sprinkle of epic fail thrown in.

Start a thread called Geno kicking ass in New York and we'll discuss it ;)

Yes the defense gave up points, yes the FG kicker missed a couple FG's, but with the game on the line and a tie score Sanchez has a chance to lead the team to victory and carry the team.......and he throws a pick. You can't script things better than that.

Jets winning the Superbowl would be a good start.

Also, Sanchez was pretty clutch with us. He threw a bunch of terrible INT's but I also remember a lot of game winning drives.

Rivers was having a crappy game, picks all over the place...but in 'junk time', by Junc's definition, he ties the game with 4 TD's including a last minute drive to tie the game....now having said that Rivers will probably throw a pick in overtime.

I also remember a lot of game losing plays too. He's just not a very good QB, he's a serviceable backup.

Just a note about Sanchez in December, in 2009, 2010 and this year (the years he was on 'good teams') he's 3 wins and 7 losses in December. Only in 2009 did a Sanchez led team having a winning record, or even close to a winning record, in December with the team in the playoff hunt. That's not 'clutch'.

edit, sorry he's 4-7 in those 3 seasons.

I'm talking about game ending drives, and Sanchez played pretty well in the playoffs.

I wasnt home to see the game nor have I watched highlights but if its true he threw an INT in the 4th that closed the deal for the Egals, as a Sanchez fan I must say that he has to be benched. He had an awesome opportunity to reappear as a stud but has failed. I think the Egals must win the next game and Sanchez might not be starting that one. Sad really.

EDIT : Just seen the highlights. His throw to Maclin earlier in the first highlight was beautiful but that INT was a tough one. By the sound of the thread I thought he had a classic throw straight at the defender. He threw it where the receiver can get the ball and it was a nice defensive play by the corner.

Still I do not see Sanchez starting next week. If he does WOW, I didnt want this to happen but his return home could be trouble in a MUST WIN GAME!

So Sanchez is a big time QB because he is better than Geno?
    Hm... Interesting logic

In one game, in the other wins the Jets kept him pretty much minimalized and limited his chances for errors, the Patriots game in 2010 he did play very well in.
and that's the thing, Sanchez always shows flashes, but for every flash he gives he goes and does 3 or 4 really dumb things. In a lot of ways he's really just a poor mans Jay Cutler, a lot of talent but he's just so inconsistent and does so many dumb things that it more than cancels out the good he does.

I didn't notice that, but damn, you are right! He wasn't allowed to throw but maybe 25 passes for the Jets in a game, just to keep him from blowing the game. That is totally re-"Mark"-able!!! Maybe all the Nacho fans are right, especially Junc! Maybe Nacho needs 50 throws a game to blow it?
Nah, I changed my mind!!! He just needs the right moment to choke!! Hahaha! Nacho sucks, no matter how all the fan boys spin it!!!! Hahaha

The juncman only works 9-5, m-f when he's being paid by Idzik, LLC check back monday morning.

Sanchez never moved his head more than ten degrees from his primary receiver the entire game. some things never change.
