Excuses? What excuses? I offered rational, something you can't comprehend evidently. Rankings don't mean shit to me. I can see my team for what they are. Just like I can see players for what they are. Which you have proved a million times on this board, you cannot. Your arguments are biased, very simple minded, and never prove anything.
History books? Son I would run circles around you and college basketball if I sat and thought about it for a few minutes, you are what? Google master? Wikipediaist? Get real Junc! Your team sucks this season, not even close to Final Four contender.
You should change your board name to "Spin doctor", because all that you say is spin, or worse yet, Junc!!!!

And ANOTHER impressive Out-Of-Conference victory for the Big East as Villanova comes back from 15 down to beat Syracuse in Overtime.

It's okay, the ACC is soft, so Syracuse will have time to pad their record before they play real teams down the stretch.

    Syracuse's upcoming schedule:
    - Colgate
    - Long Beach St
    - Cornell
    - at Virginia Tech
    - at Georgia Tech
    - Florida State*
    - Wake Forest
    - at Clemson
    - Boston College

Their first 6 ACC opponents are all worse than the 9th-best team in the Big East.

Michigan State lost to 1-9 Texas Southern..... wow. My goodness the Big10 is such trash.

Izzo's quote after the game was classic, "I’m gonna find out what the NCAA will legally allow me to practice tomorrow, and I’m gonna probably exceed it.”

Huge win for 'Nova. Atmosphere at Wells Fargo was great, lot of 'Cuse fans showed up. What I liked most was after a dozen games of everyone sharing the load, the two guys that stepped up were the seniors and the two best players on the team.

are 'Nova fans crowing beating one of the worst teams in the ACC at home? seriously?

Big win for the Heels, they whipped Ohio State. Very nice non conf win. Considering they haven't played great yet and Paige hasn't looked like himself I will take the 10-3 record. Only 2 non conf games left before ACC play begins in January.

Yet you had no issue with Gonzaga crowing about beating UCLA, right?

stop it. you barely beat one of the worst ACC teams at home. It's great 'Nova is unbeaten but who have they beaten? their marquee win was over Michigan and Michigan stinks. Calm down a bit w/ bashing the ACC.

You didn't. You conveniently sat silent as ESPN and the national media blared that win in the headlines as if they defeated the Chicago Bulls. Your inconsistency speaks volumes.

So based on this rationale, is it fare to say the only "marquee" win UNC has now is over Ohio St?

And regardless of how good Syracuse has been this year, I'll always consider beating them a big win. Even when one team is having a down year, it's always a tough game.

Take it how you want to but the crowing over beating Syracuse is comical.

I don't have an irrational hatred of Gonzaga.

So then if 'Cuse is to beat UNC in a month, that'd be a bad loss at home right? And wouldn't be worth getting excited about if they win?

I won't get overly excited about beating Syracuse. I will enjoy it since I haven't seen it since 1987(they have only played 2 times since then) but I will not be doing cartwheels.

So then, in your mind, them beating UCLA was a big win, but Villanova beating Syracuse was not?

The only Marquee wins against the ACC are Duke, UNC, and Louisville. This is actually an improvement, as the ACC has pretty much been a two-team conference for the past decade.

I don't believe I ever said it was a big win. This may sound crazy but I am not always thinking of Gonzaga.
