Bills and the Jets have handled their at times struggling 2nd year Qbs differently. I admit I haven't seen Manuel play that much but my general impression last year is that he was going to be better than Geno. And Geno is again so inconsistent that a lot of fans have asked for his scalp. The Bills signed Kyle Orton before the season and when Manuel not unlike Geno played poorly they benched him and it looks like for the season. While the Jets with maybe a better backup Qb stay with Geno as their starter. The Bills are 3-2 and the Jets are 1-6.
Shaky rush defense? Bills are: #1 in the NFL in rushing ypc #1 in rushing TD's given up #1 in 40+ yard runs given up #2 in 20+ yard runs given up #3 in rushing yards per game given up I have no idea who wins this game. I could see the Jets winning and I could see the Bills winning. Neither would surprise me. But to say the Bills have a shaky run defense is laughable.
The Bills will definitely have to game plan for Percy. Plus they have no film on him as a Jet so they don't know how Marty is going to use him on Sunday. As for special teams what will be the status of Walt Powell. Who looked pretty good last week and does have some return talent. If he can hold onto the ball. My guess is they deactivate him. On the other hand you could use them both as dual returners.
I can't imagine Percy having much to do in this game. He's only had 1 week to learn an entire playbook. Maybe on kick and punt returns? That could be scary.
He doesn't need to learn the entire playbook to make an impact. He will likely return kicks and he likely learned a good amount of plays to come in the game for. He's not gonna be on the field the entire game, but he likely will have a good number of snaps
It's kind of like sandlot football. You just tell the fastest guy to go out for a long pass. But there is pressure on the Jets to use this guy. So if he makes a good play or two the management looks good. I think they will give him an abridged version of the playbook but they will use him at least on five plays. I'd like to see them go downfield more on Sunday. I think Geno's average yardage per completion is the lowest in the league. More 20 yard and over plays tomorrow.

He has nothing to do with it. If the Jets play as well as they did against the Broncos and Patriots, they will likely win.
No realistic person has that mindset. Will he HELP us win a few more games? probably.. will we make the playoffs, no... duh. Can we beat the bills regardless of good play from percy? Hell yes.
