After a friend of mine kept talking about it, I finally signed up this past weekend. It is pretty cool, although obviously very tough to win big money unless you get lucky. But you can win smaller amounts fairly easily if you know what you are doing.

I made a team of Hoyer, Ball, Forsett, Dez, Antonio Brown, Edelman, Graham, Crosby, and Dolphins D. I'm currently 689th out of about 17,000 and as of right now would win 20 bucks off a 5 dollar entry.

Really kicking myself because I initally had Jordy Nelson and switched him to Antonio last minute to give myself more reason to care about the thurs nite game.

    Anybody else doing this?

I have found their radio commercials to be more omnipresent and annoying than 1-800-Kars For Kids.

    True story.

I play every week. The thought of a $1 or $2 entry turning into $2,500-$7,000 in some cases makes me giddy considering you have a lot more control over it than playing the lotto or scratches.

I've found over my first couple weeks playing though that it is very difficult. It seems easy to take the big boys every week and downgrade at your #3 WR, kicker and defense but it shoots you in the foot sometimes if you don't hit on those guys. It's tough to balance it all out if you wanna take the Calvin Johnson's of the world.

Absolutely love fan duel. Been playing for years. I always try and balance out my team and find one or 2 guys that are cheap nut always produce. Last year zac Stacy and eddy lacy were staples of all my teams. This year it's been Giovanni Bernard and vereen at rb. I also love Larry donnel at tight end.

Not asking what your money figures but have ya had success winning any big money? Or just enough to sustain playing all year?

Because it all really seems so much easier than it is lol.

This is basically a form of player prop gambling, which is betting on a certain stat line for a given player. This is very risky considering the highly unpredictable nature of performance, especially TD production, on a one week basis. Now, it's different than a singular player prop because you're not betting your money on one players stats vs the casino's line, rather you're betting on your teams production vs the other teams in your league. I don't know all the rules and how payouts for this work so it could be more or less risky depending on that. Either way, I think betting on the point spread is much safer because a savvy gambler can better predict a teams performance in a given matchup than a statline for a singular or group of independent players. I havnt played fan duel or looked into it that much so feel free to correct if you disagree with any of the above

I respect the post and your acknowledgement of the difficulty on betting on something like this.

It's just different than typical betting against casino lines and such because the payout scales are so large for minimal bets. $1 entry can earn from anywhere in the thousands down to $5 payouts for finishing in places as deep as 1000th place.

I think the wide scale payouts make it a more calculated risk considering the betting amounts are low and you can also get paid despite not beating a spread where in Vegas lines you're shit out of luck if you don't hit the spread.

No. Nothing is worse than those Kars For Kids jingles. I seriously cannot stand them. In fact, those freakin commercials have actually turned me anti-philanthropic.

Btw, good call on making this thread. I'm very curious about these new FF cash sites. I kept telling myself I would browse them online but just never got to it.

Is there a minimum entry ($)? And is it via your personal bank account?

You can play somebody, and join a tournament for as little as $1 dollar. The minimum deposit is $10, which could last you awhile.

The good thing about Fanduel is if you join a tournament, they have pay outs for almost half of the players in the tournaments.

Last year I put 150$ on and I played for the entire season (not playoffs). Ended up losing it but ~10$ a week in a chance to win a few hundred or thousand was worth it.

I put money on week 1 and have won a few dollars since then. I normally play two teams a week. One big tournament and maybe a 10 person league where it's easier to win a few bucks if you believe in your fantasy football knowledge

Not sure what the minimum is. I believe 10 bucks but you can use your debit card or aPayPal account.

I put about $25 for two weeks. I will say that the Monday Thurs night two game cash games are very hard to win. But my strategy will change as you need to find a couple of bottom.shelf players that will outperform like Bradshaw on MNF.

Hoping I can win something this week after a two week drought. Could be good or bad advice but just in case anyone didn't see it Steven Ridley is a bargain at $6,200 vs. Oakland this week. Just an fyi for everyone.

I don't like playing the Thurs-Sun. Theres just too much time in between for injuries/suspensions. For instance I benefited in one of mine because AP was deactivated after 10% of the tournament already had him locked in as a starter

I also like think Khiry Robinson at 4700 is even more. New Orleans is gonna be up the majority of the game vs Minnesota so khiry should get plenty of usage as Ingram is out for about a month

If you think that's intolerable, then you must not have to suffer with the countless dui commercials i hear, or god forbid heritage for the blind. You know..the company that somehow tries telling you its a good deal that THEY take YOUR car..for free!

I started playing at draftkings.com last week. I did pretty well, I came in around 4000 out of 57,000 and won a few bucks. This week I didn't do as well, I attribute that partially to picking my lineup on Wednesday (to get the Thursday players) rather than Sunday.

I find it to be a lot of fun. It surely made the games a lot more entertaining last week, since by the late games it was looking like I could place very high.

In real Fantasy football, I am down 16pts. I have Nick Folk and Chris Ivory still left to play. If I win I am in sole possession of 1st place at 3-0.

Similar situation. I am 2-0 my opponent is 2-0. I have Folk hero and Jets D and I am behind 16 points. My opponent doesn't have any players left. Hard to overcome but if I win, I am in sole posession of first place as 3-0
