Warren let the game get away from the Yankees. If this games finishes as a L, that will be 3 in a row. Need to break out of the slump.

Try to take the O's and Rays series.

Sigh. Feel like I'm repeating myself, but the Yankees can go a little run here and they can jump into one of the two WC spots. Technically we have a very low shot at the division but not likely

Kelley's slider was garbage today. Gotta sweep Toronto.

With all the rumors floating around that Boston wants Giancarlo Stanton, anyone think the Yankees get involved just because?

I would do this, if Miami would is another scenario

    Marlins get
    - Brett Gardner
    - Michael Pineda
    - Ivan Nova
    - Aaron Judge
    - Ian Clarkin
    - 2015 and 2016 first round pick
    - cash

    Yankees get
    - Giancarlo Stanton
    - Jose Fernandez/Adeiny Hechavarria

If it's Hechavarria one of the above pitchers would be removed. If it's Fernandez everyone listed above is traded to MIA.

The way I see it, MIA will not be able to pay these guys. I'm not positive but I think both of their contracts are up in 2016.

    Mark Buehrle W-197 ; L-155 (.566 winning pct.) <---- not bad.

    Career record vs. the Yanks:
    1-13. I like Mark Buehrle.

Yanks 6, BlueJays 3…the beat goes on….and the hitless Pinstripers keep hanging around…

….one day later……and hit hitless wonders spoil another solid pitching performance and a chance to gain ground…..

Going to the Red Sox versus the Evil Empire tonite, would love to see another nail in that coffin.

Sounds like Beltran is going to need surgery on his elbow.

He's missing games now, as they decide whether they should wait.

    Gardner still out.

Time to give Cashman a contract extension, that sounds like the solution

Nobody's posted this yet? I hate the Yankees as much as anyone, but I respect the hell out of Jeter. Great great commercial. Although I do think the Farewell Tour is a bit over the top.

I agree.....and what I'm finding more disconcerting is the overt money grab of Hank and Hal by jumping in bed with those crass pigs at Steiner Sports. Just yesterday Jeter during a "meet and greet Jeet" (for serious $$) at the Hudson Theather in the Millinium Hotel himself made a quip about finding a new nameplate and locker each time he comes back from a road trip, i.e. that they (Steiner) have already acquired it to sell at auction. Fucking lo-life pigs supported by the dumb asses who pay serious squish for this "exclusive/limited 10,000 commemorative items" manufactured snake oil-type memorabilia bullshit.

The screwing around with the "grey brim" hats and wearing them during a game (grey brims!) the result of some deal with some company.....you're going down a slippery slope there Hank & Hal...and you're cheapening the brand with every step.

    end of rant

No postseason run this year, a bummer. Going to be odd not seeing Jeter on the field next year.
