I know we were told there wasn't going to be any math on this test, but was the 32nd pick in the first round?

I'm not a huge fan of trading up for Lee when either he or Allen Robinson will likely fall to us.

Not to be a dick... but how about those arguing Lee >>> ODB?

Doesnt seem the NFL thinks so.

Still would love Lee in the 2nd now though.

He really is going to be a very good QB. A very bright guy.

Now we need to get Geno some weapons.

I mean not closing there and having a different player go is a small victory. He's still there and there are still a couple players that are more likely to get picked or traded up for than Lee at the start of tomorrow. It drives down the price and as much as I like Lee there are a bunch of other ways to get aggressive via OL/TE/even OLB picks where you might get more value settling for a worse but acceptable WR in exchange for a superior player at another position of need in addition, rather than settling for depth if you make a big move for Lee. The end of the 1st round actually worked out really well for us, they didn't go deep down the WR depth chart, nobody reached for Amaro or OL, there are a lot of good things that can happen tomorrow.

Doesn't mean that ODB will have the better career.

I still maintain that Lee will ultimately be a better player in the NFL than Beckham Jr.

    You are exactly right.

No one knows who will turn out to be a better player but it is clear the NFL as a whole valued ODB highly and Lee not so much.

Beckham was badly over-valued in this draft. He got picked well and he had excellent representation pushing the bubble for him. Luckily for us we'll get to watch him closely on the Giants and see how it turns out.

I'll tell you this: he's playing next to a guy who has tremendous drive again with the UDFA from ZooMass. It'll be interesting to see if he can become a great player in his own right or if he settles into a #2 role again.

I'm guilty of it too in the heat of the moment, but trading up into the first from 49 is a very big jump. There are a bunch of good players left, so in reality I never expected him to try and trade back in. If the Browns take Lee with the 35th oh well, I mean the chances are pretty good they might even like a guy like Jordan Matthews better, you never really know. Don't get so bent out of shape people, we've got 1 guaranteed starter and will probably end up getting at least 1 more.

You won the meaningless round 1, I'll give you that. If you're still grinning in a year or two I'll give you your credit when you bring it up, don't worry. See that you own up to it if he doesn't work out so well.

It would be great to have them both in NY so we can track their careers first hand.

By whom? Fake internet draft gurus or real NFL professional draft experts?

The Giants are one of the traditional top drafting organizations in football and the took him at 12.

    Who exactly over-valued him?
