While that would be a bonus, fuck Miami. Let's worry about our own playoff seeding. Let's hope by that game, we are comfortably in the playoffs while Miami shit the bed weeks prior.
Way too early to tell if its a difficult or an easy schedule for the most part. Starting out with 3 of 4 at home is nice, but the NFL did the Jets NO favors with the New England Thursday night game. I mean who did the Jets piss off to get Manning and the Broncos and then have to turn around and play Brady and the Pats on the road 4 days later. That is just not right!
at first glance I like our sched. I don't like facing GB at Lambeau w/ extra rest coming off a loss to Seattle and the Den/NE whammy but outside of that it looks pretty good.
Similar to last year in my opinion... Tough beginning stretch and then should lighten up the last 5 weeks.
Wow that is a brutal schedule. 7 tough or pretty tough out of division games and of the 3 easier ones, two are away. _
Playing the AFC West again is part of that answer, obviously. That division overall has looked weak over the last few years or so, mostly due to poor management of the Oakland franchise and in KC as well before Andy Reid got there. But Reid is there, and Rivers had a great season for the Chargers, so I think on the whole the division is not what I would call weak. Oakland should be a win, but I am not confident about any of the other AFC West games. But... yes I think it is way to early to tell whether the schedule will prove easy or not. For example while I am reasonably sure Chicago will be a strong team, I really don't know at this point about either Detroit or Green Bay. Both will have above average Qb play, but the rest of the teams? Too early to tell.

Strength of Schedule. Jets toughest in division due to two games against Pats and 2nd place match-ups.
No clue how NFL composes the schedule fair or unfair. Our strength of schedule is roughly based on last years record like teams huddled around us. We are a running team now and should be able to do that on all teams on schedule especially ones who are passing teams. All things being equal, we are stronger with some explosive players. Each game is different. The Pats and runners up will be tough but there are 12 other games too. Idzik will have to trade to resolve other deficits.
http://mmqb.si.com/2014/04/24/making-of-2014-nfl-schedule/ Interesting article for those who think the NFL is out to get us.. There is no way they can create a schedule that is perfect for everyone.. Factor in events being held at that stadium, and it becomes a giant cluster fuck.. I think they do a pretty good job considering.
I don't think I was shouting conspiracy there. Just stating facts. Based on 2013 performance, NE's schedule starts and ends soft. And I don't see the big deal about opening up @ home. How is that an advantage?
Bitching about the schedule opponent wise is so pointless. The only complaint any of us should have is playing Denver on a Sunday then going to NE on Thursday. That is bullshit. NFL is too week-to-week for anyone to get too high or low on a schedule.
