Don't question the methodology of draft experts. It's almost like black magic.

Wow!! This is a stunner! IMO there's no way Barkley and Bray even belong in the same post. I think they're both awful. I think a strong case can also be made that Shaw and Murray don't belong in that group either, and maybe even Morris. IMO Shaw is smart and all he did is win, but he doesn't have the athleticism or the arm as any of that group. Murray has talent, but isn't that accurate and makes a lot of dumb decisions. His freshman season Morris looked like he was gonna become a very, very good QB, but imo he has never made it to that level. He's athletic and has talent, but hasn't put it all together yet.

    So, I wasn't very clear...

I'm not saying they are all as good as each other.

Last year I definitely thought Geno was the top QB. The next two guys were definitely behind him in Bray and Barkley. After that I thought there was nobody that was worth playing at the QB position in the draft.

Manziel, Carr, and Bridge are IMO 1st rounders... But I think all those other guys have the ability to have a shot.

Oh, OK. Sorry if I misunderstood your intent. That makes more sense to me. For a little while I thought maybe you had inhaled too much pollen and it was short circuiting your wiring. Guess I'm the one who has breathed in too much pollen! LOL

You just said, if the Jets draft him, you will root for him to fail - sounds like something personal to me.

Again, I hope we draft him he's a good prospect.

It's not personal against Fales the human being. It's against a weak-armed QB. If another team drafts him, I would be perfectly fine with his succeeding. I just don't want the Jets backup or potential next starting QB to be limited by a weak arm.

His "weak" arm is less of an issue then you think.

No it isn't. Your statement clearly demonstrates your lack of understanding on playing QB in the Northeast in the cold months. Whatever dude. It's obvious that we couldn't evaluate talent in players any more differently, and I don't see any productive point in having any more discussions regarding draft prospects because it's very clear to me that we will never agree or even be able to reach any point of consensus. Your mind is clearly tightly closed.

Dude, stop bringing up the whole Northeast cold bullshit - I already dispelled this with Chad Pennington pre-injury. They have similar arm strength, and before Chad got hurt, was very successful in the Meadowlands wind. West Coast offense, short passing game - Marty can easily adjust and has the personnel to do so. That's what great coaches do, ADAPT. I would rather have a QB that has the ability to put the ball only where the receiver could get it over, a QB that has elite arm strength and less then average accuracy. That's the Tom Bradys, the Joe Montanas - they never had issues playing in the wind despite less then stellar arm strength. We were winning games with Chad pre shoulder injury as well. So we can throw that out the window.

You can also improve Arm Strength - this was already confirmed if you watched Matt Ryan's career develop.

If anyone's mind is closed, it's certainly yours. You obviously aren't listening to what I am saying, and you are dispelling others that are saying the same thing I am.

You haven't dispelled anything. It's only in your small mind that it's not a factor. Get over yourself. I'm listening to what makes sense and is true, and agreed about Fales accuracy. Fales' arm isn't as good as Brady's and I doubt Joe Montana would have done as well in today's game and playing in the northeast. Just because we were winning some games with Chad pre-injury doesn't mean spit. Your attempt at logic and reasoning is an epic fail.

Already did dispel it - arm strength is an overrated quality, and as I mentioned already, Arm Strength can improve over years.

Don't you remember how much potential the Jets had with Chad Pennington before he got injured? Chad was easily one of the best QBs in the league when healthy.

Fales and Pennington have around same arm strength, Fales isn't on the same plane in regards to football IQ as Pennington, but the accuracy is there, the anticipation to make throws is there. Those are pretty unique skill-sets to have. He makes quick decisions with the football, these are all essential tools to operate the WCO.

Sorry I wouldn't pass on Fales in the later rounds because he doesn't have above average arm strength, the positives outweigh the negatives in his game.

We can agree to disagree on that aspect - I'm not changing my mind in that aspect.

I already said that 3 posts ago. I know that neither of us is going to change our minds. That's why I suggested we not discuss it further.

So... I finished my own personal QB rankings. I have them split into rankings as mobile QBs and pocket QBs. I have detailed write-ups of each of them on the link. And... well.. let's just say it doesn't go along with the consensus. lol. Not that my opinions ever really have since I started spending way too much time doing this stuff. *Please note that "mobile" does not mean "running." It has to do with a QB's ability to move and to throw on the run, incorporate rollouts, etc.
    Mobile QB Rankings

I really don't think the Jets are going QB in the first two rounds, so the more teams that take QB's open up other positions for the Jets.

I think they'll grab one with one of the 4ths, or an earlier pick if they trade back and get an extra 3rd.

Too funny, just watched Gruden's QB camp with AJ McCarron and guess who showed up for it?

    Santonio Holmes.

I know a lot of guys here hated Holmes but I think a lot of his negatives were more perception by outsiders than reality.

Showing up at a rookies Gruden's spot is not what a diva d-bag does, of course he is still looking for a job so maybe it IS what they do.

Sign the beast for short money:D
