Yes. Cooks or Beckham is who I want.

Cooks is going to primarily going to work out of the slot, and he doesn't offer anything in terms of blocking. It seems a very significant amount of our offense is going to be coming from RBs, so taking a WR 18th who can't really block isn't a great move.

I would be on board with Cooks/Beckham/Lee. As long as it's one of those 3 I really don't care.

This guy is gonna be something special. I would have a real hard time if we passed up on him. Granted, that all depends on who we get instead, but there are very few realistic names that I would rather take over this guy. We need a guy like Cooks

I would be thrilled with Cooks. With Watkins and Evans being unrealistic for us when we pick I would say either Cooks or OBJ, I would be happy with either one.

I agree, he looks great against mediocre teams, and the jets are going to need some WR that can block, too small for me.

I know Wes Welker is also on the smallish side, but guys like him and Steve smith are the exception, not the norm. I would not select him.

Cooks is small. If the Jets take him with their 1st they better know what they're doing.

5'10" WR's don't usually get taken in the 1st round. That would mean in this deep draft the Jets believe that Cooks is that much better than the guys under 6' who normally don't get taken in the 1st round.

I would prefer a LSU guy :) I would also be up for moving up in the second round to grab Jace Amaro... man how much better would our team look after that... well at least on paper

They are both best suited for the slot so I'm not sure the Jets will draft either unless they plan on letting Kerley go.

Cooks had an absolutely epic battle against Ifo Ekpre-Olomu this year and won it. IEO would be the top corner in the draft this year if he had come out. Man, that was probably the most fun matchup for me to watch all year last season.

Anyway... the point is he went head to head with the best in the country and went for 10/110.

Obviously it depends on who else is available. I wouldn't take him over Barr, Clinton Dix or Ebron or anyone else we are not expecting to drop but very we'll may. I wouldn't take him over Lee either but I would take him over Dennard. I just have a feeling someone we are not expecting to be available will and he will be the pick, I have no idea who.

Wut? Cooks got flat out dominated when he paired up against Ifo Ekpre-Olomu. IEO had one int and nearly got two more, while Cooks just had a couple of short gains in their battle.

    Vid for anyone interested:

How is getting 110 receiving yards being dominated?

He got dominated by IEO and dominated that other corner.

OK, it's been a few months since I saw the game. I remember coming away very impressed with both IEO and Cooks in that game and thinking that Mitchell was terrible. The details have gotten cloudy in my head. Thanks for posting.
