Agree, and I think Pastrnak is the better player.

I hope someone poison pills a RFA offer for Austin Mathews. He’d be worth the ostracism of other teams.

Special player; Maple Leafs don’t deserve him.

Wilson got decked by Reeves last night. It was cheap, but many would say Tom had it coming. (Including me) The Golden Knights stole the win over the Capitals 5-3 on a poor softie goal allowed by Holtby. It's alright, he played much better there in June. ;)

Haven't won since 1967. I think they deserve him. With apologies to Sittler, Clark, Gilmour and Sundin,
Matthews is the best player Leafs have had since then.

He’s too good for them. They deserve to go another 50 years before sniffing the Cup; although I would be equally pleased to see them go to and lose 50 straight Finals if not for the fact that it would inherently mean the Isles would equally go Cupless in that time.

LOL, ok JB. I don't get the Leaf hate, but all good.
At least we can agree on the Jets.

I’ve hated them on behalf of Michael Pecca’s knee since 2002.

Are you a Pens fan? Otherwise, that is the wrong response to that fight last night. It is a big rivalry and a lot went into that moment. Not sure why you posted it with that kind of reaction. Many other Wilson moments where I would understand a post like that, but not last night. Also, he was taken out a couple weeks ago but he came back.

Great game last night. Felt like Game 4 of the playoffs last year against the Pens. Pretty even, but they got a bounce that proved to be the difference.

    Here is some back story:

you're top shelf imo - don't take the following personally

Pens fan? I was born in NY, grew up in NY, and have no rooting interest in any pro team outside NY (like who cares anyway?). Sidney Crosby can go fuck himself for all I care. Same with that asshole Wilson.

Last night: Wilson (under the guise of coming to his teammate's defense for a supposed over-the-top hit by Oleksiak against his teammate) went after Oleksiak and even threw off his gloves before reaching Oleksiak--premeditated Dave Schultz-type goon-it-up bullshit. Actually, it was Wilson's bruised goon ego that was at play here.........paw Tommy Wilson hearing shit from the Pens coach how he ran away / avoided Oleksiak in a previous incident. Whatever, Wilson's a "don't-turn-your-back-on-him" scumbag, Ovechkin's not adverse to running/boarding people from behind, their former bald asshole coach put his foot in his mouth making a stupid (provincial) comment about MSG, and they're only just starting to evolve from dressing in Montreal Canadian-wannabe uniforms.

Fuck the Pens, fuck the Caps, let's go Rangers, and that is that.

Wilson should have been out 25 games to start the season and maybe he’d have learned a lesson.

:D No offense taken! Yeah, when you put it that way, your post makes more sense. Also, of course, my fault for slightly defending Wilson or at least seeing his side. This is a Jets site so the majority of fans will be Rangers or Isles or Devils fans. I love talking hockey with all of you but sometimes it gets dicey especially with Tom Wilson. He should be (and is) hated by all fan bases besides the Capitals. You calling him a goon isn't wrong either. It gets intense though during Pens-Caps games, so I have been fired up since last night. (Mostly dealing with douche bag Pens fans)

Agreed, but I don't think he would have learned his lesson. He is a smart guy, but he reacts emotionally way too much. Not sure how you teach or coach that out of him.

That's pretty cool. I like seeing the Jets' players at other New York teams' games. Remember how great Mangold was at the Rangers games? :D

My lightning have been lighting it up for the past month now. 15-0-1 in the last 16 games and a 12 point gap over second place in the entire league.
