If I was a mod, this thread would make me draw my banhammer. Right before I'd lay it down, I'd notice the OP has been here since 2004. I would pause for a moment but because this thread is so bad I'd lay it down anyway. Unless the OP is drunk from Jet-induced misery. Then I'd have mercy.
I will leave this thread link here for starters. http://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/please-leave-being-thread-police-to-the-moderators.66884/ Then I will move this thread to NFL Forum.
He has an excellent reputation as an OC -- did great work with Dalton in Cincy and before that was smart enough to see that Carson Palmer has many good years left (unfortunately, he was with Oakland at the time). Granted, if Bowles gets fired I can't see MM going with Jackson as HIS pick. And from what I see/read, Bates seems to have Darnold's support. But I think that the lack of a quality OC and an offensive head coach doomed Sanchez, and I don't want that to repeat. Aside from Norv Turner, if Bates moves on or a new HC wants a new OC, who would you guys prefer ?
This is the franchise that hired Rich Kotite riding something like a six game losing streak. So let’s not all pretend it’s not possible. I’m going to the store for some Maalox now.
Look, we all know Bowles isn't the answer. I'm agnostic on Bates, though another peformance like yesterday's will seal the deal for me. Since we got Sanchez, I have PRAYED that a top-flight Big Name like Norv Turner (42 points by Cam Newton yesterday !!) would tutor our young QBs. If Carolina wins the SB or goes far, maybe Norv wants another challenge in a major media market (his son would probably stay there anyway). Norv Turner....Hue Jackson....I'll take any established, proven, OC who can get Darnold to reach his potential. My God, I wouldn't have believed it, and I've read articles that say Fischer wasn't at fault and Goff said he learned alot under him, but when the Rams went to Sean McVay from Jeff Fischer Goff went from Ryan Leaf to Peyton Manning.
Thinking about taking the Jets in my Survivor Pool this week......they're the biggest favorite I have left....I figure with McCown taking over the O will be better and if the Jets D can't stop Peterman, well.......... I figure I win either way: I'll either advance or Todd Bowles is definitely done and we get an offensive coach for Darnold. Thoughts ?
Why is everything in blue and red? I feel like I'm on a Bills or a Giants board. Unless the OP is color blind.
