Think this is the first time we'll see him active on gameday. The jets would have to promote him to the active roster which means releasing someone else to make room, but no way we can go into the game with only 1 QB? Mccown is starting, Darnold is out. I wonder who we cut to make room.

How fucked up is this? The Jets are one brittle-boned, 39 year old QB hit away from having this stiff inserted into the game in a Jet uniform. And fwiw, the Bills did manage to put some heat on Brady recently.

Seems liked just yesterday with Josh, Teddy and Sam the Jets had some semblance of stability behind center. Now they have this Jint reject possibly coming in to play behind a center who's having problems snapping a football back 3 yards? Awesome job FO.

I say cut Peake. Although, who knows where the Jets would be this season without his 14 receiving yards.....

This imbecile Bowels will make Darnold the backup Sunday and if and when Mccown gets buried we can crucify Bowels for even dressing Darnold !!!!

Peake is one of our best STers.

Well, I guess they'll have to cut Long, then.

    Honestly?

I would love to see Webb play. I have no interest in watching Josh McCown, love the guy but there is no purpose for him to take snaps so let's see what Webb has.

Maybe if he shows something we can trade him for a draft pick or keep him as a young backup.

Thank Mac for the boneheaded move of giving away Teddy for a #3 , and not having the foresight to see that this was inevitable. It was just a matter of time.......as obvious as a Jet losing season.

Anyway, Webb should play - it would be just brutal with McCown - and watching Long with those wild snaps , ugh.

So we should have kept Teddy (who I love) with a non-talented team so he can get us to 7-9 and walk away at the end of the year for no compensation instead of having a 3rd rounder in the 2019 draft to grab a guard or RB or WR or OLB?

Without the benefit of perfect 20-20 hindsight--Mac traded him at the right time and got the right comp.

    I've seen Webb play.

It was funny in a Giant uniform...

really dude? you think it's better to have teddy sitting here to play 1 game this season then leave, then it is to have a 3rd round pick in the draft, a pick we can turn into a player that could be around for the next decade at a position of need? wow just wow.

A 3rd rounder....wow, I'm all excited about that potential starter. Just like Hansen?

Macs track record with 3rd round picks? A bit optimistic, don't you think? Now we have Webb , I'm just elated.

Problem with playing Webb is if he beats up on the Bills people might start talking to play him instead of Sam & why he played so well & Sam has not. Got to play Josh to make sure there is no QB controversy.

Oh God what a horrible place to be in. A young QB playing well. That sounds like such an awful problem
