IMO NO ONE has the right to be a prima donna. Usually the ones who act like prima donnas have the least right to do so. The greatest in every field of endeavor are generally humble and gracious, and glad to help others.

Flacco didn't take the Ravens to the SB, the Ravens D and rushing attack did. Ben contributed a whole lot more to the Steelers getting to a SB, but he isn't Manning, Rodgers or Brady.

Aren't you aware that you act like a prima donna on this forum every day?

Try being occasionally nice to folks. I gave up being mean in the second grade and it really wasn't that mean. I always defended and befriended the outcast, oft times to my own detriment. It just wears thin at times.

LOL Dude you need to invest in a dictionary or google the meaning of prima donna. I don't expect special treatment and don't make exorbitant demands. I'm opinionated, stand up for myself, and point out where I think posters use flawed logic or make crap up/make ridiculous assertions. If that makes me a prima donna in your and fjf's book, so be it. I can live with that.

I know what a diva is in terms of internet posters.

I'm not going into detail about you unless you insist. But you don't know half as much about football as you want people to believe, and you care twice as much about opinions of you on this forum that you shouldn't give a shit about.

Maybe "diva" is pushing it, because I think your personal opinion of yourself is probably small.

If anything, it's Josh who should be upset his team drafted his replacement, since Josh is barely holding on.

If you know you're gonna get canned the instant your replacement is up to speed, you may not want to help your replacement. But Josh seems bigger than this, and remembers the help he got.

Ben and Joe, on the other hand, are just assholes.

Josh has $10 million reasons to help the kid transition. The biggest of which is his own transition from the field to the sidelines as a coach at some point in 2019/2020. Lets not make McCown into a saint ok? He's has skin in Darnold's development. Funny thing about getting older? You usually get smarter.

You really don't think McCown knew that the Jets were taking a QB long before he even signed the deal? He knows what his role is here and I think he's not only fine with it, but he enjoys it. It's easy to see him being a coach one day and this might serve as a bit of a transition into that role. He's 39 and making $10 mil, I don't think he's too worried about getting replaced halfway through the season.

    Be thankful for McCown? Why?

I honestly don't want our franchise faithful "learning" from a carrer jag of a journeyman.

I mean let's be honest here. Where did McCown get Petty last year? What about Hack? What about McCown's NFL body of work of a career losing record?

I personally do not like the guy.

Petty and Hackenberg were terrible. Darnold is not. Not exactly the leg I'd want to stand on.

Jags make the best coaches. I have no problem with a guy like mccown showing Sam what it takes to grind out a long career in the nfl. Let him learn the work ethic from someone who had to do it in order to just stay in the league, couple that with his own talent and ability and you can end up with a legend.

TBF, Gailey had already ruined those kids before McCown even arrived on the scene. Josh has more to work with in Darnold than he had with Petty and Hack combined.

Yeah because not having the physical tools means you don't have the knowledge and ability to pass on that knowledge. Don't ever get how people believe this when history tells you that this thinking is completely wrong.
