He will be the qb jets draft at 3. So that’s a good reason.
So mo will you support him or rag on him?

I won't support him until the Jets actually pick him. Til then (and I hope it never happens) I'm going to keep disliking him because he's shown 0 reason to believe he's an NFL QB.

Rosen was the number 1 back then, if he made the move because of this he is even more stupid then he comes across as.

Could be that he disliked him and made the move for Mayfield

    He's inaccurate.
    He has bad mechanics.
    He has bad footwork.

Sorry, being tall with the ability to throw far doesn't do it for me.

He doesn't have bad mechanics or footwork.
He's one of the few who has shown he can line up under Center, execute play action, as well as throw on the run.
    His throwing motion is excellent.
I would agree his accuracy is inconsistent, but not nearly to the point of exaggerated concern.

If he was just tall the football guys wouldn't all be so high on him.
    that's just a board narrative.

Find me a scouting report that says Allen's throwing motion is excellent. Speaking of scouting reports, check out the "bad" where you'll find multiple examples of his mechanics being off and motion being awful:

Josh The Jet Allen would be the best thing to happen to us since Curtis Martin

lol are you trying to claim he has a mechanical issue with his throwing motion?
that would be a first..... this board is getting desperate in their Allen criticism's.
He has a quick release, can throw at any angle and still have power, and the ball pops out of his hand.
You only need eyes to see he throws it well.

Only guy with a hitch in their throwing motion is Darnold, but it doesn't really concern me with him.

Pretty sure these two go one-two. The Giants are trading the Two or drafting one of the above and getting a great trade chip or future starter.
    Anything else and I’m amazed.

He's not inaccurate when he steps into his throws. He's inaccurate when he's throwing off his back foot, or not set when throwing.

When he sets his feet and throws, he's fine. He's not only fine, he's actually great. He can threaten any part of the field no matter where he's standing.

He does need to work on his anticipation. He will anticipate where a WR will be on some throws, on others he will wait until they're open. That usually won't work in the NFL, although I think part of the reason Josh Allen has that habit is his arm strength.

In watching his tape, I think he could be fixed with a few easy adjustments like "Don't throw off your back foot" and "Give up on plays depending on the down and distance."

He needs to figure out a technique that will allow him to throw screen passes too. What he's currently doing doesn't work.

    So why draft him?

He's the best arm talent I think I've ever seen. He really, REALLY can throw a football. If some team fixes his issues they'll have an all-pro on their hands.

As far as I can tell he's been the best player on every offense he's been on. At Wyoming, Juco and his high school...the offenses were just bad and he carried them. This isn't Hackenburg who got carried by Allen Robinson his freshman year.

I'd like to see him in an offense where his WR's are actually competent and his line can protect him a bit. We got a taste of that at the senior bowl, where he completed 69% of his passes going 9-13 for 158 yards and 2 TDs along with 19 rush yards.

There is no chance Mac takes someone as risky as Allen after the Hackenberg debacle. He's signing his own pink slip if he takes Allen.

We all have our favorites but multiple NFL guys like and dislike all of these QBs to some degree

I'm not a huge fan of Allen or Rosen but I'm not going to say neither has a shot to be great

People talking about jumping off the ledge because they don't get their guy is ridiculous....All we can do is hope and root for the best no matter who the guy ends up being
