I don't think he get's passed the Giants. If Cleveland passes I think Elways goes all out to get that pick.

If we land Darnold, how long will it take for someone to start a Not Another USC QB thread?

Out of the 4 I can’t see any scenario in which Darnold makes it to 3, all the others I can.

I can see it. Allen is the type of QB their GM likes (Favre,Mahomes). The Giants could take Barkley or Chubb and be much better.

If Darnold gets passed on by Cleveland Giants will get a massive offer from someone who loves him but if the Giants truly do love Barkley and Chubb the only team that can still land them one of the two is Denver.

For those who are proponents of the Jets finding a QB after the 1st round, I saw an interesting statistic on "Turn On the Jets" today.

Thanks for researching and posting this, however, it seems to me that this may be a statistic that begs the question. Since very few RB's have been drafted in the first round over the period analyzed, naturally the stats quoted will reflect that. For example:

No. of players drafted in Rd 1 at the positions quoted in article over the past five years:

    RB - 4
    QB - 12
    DB - 36
    OT - 19
    DE - 19 (doesn't include OLBs)

Yes, it's a limited sample size relatively speaking, but if more QBs were taken in the 1st round, there might be even more QBs who were in the top 40. I think this also shows that in general, NFL teams are doing a better job of picking which QBs are likely to succeed and which ones are less likely to succeed. It probably also may reflect more patience or more care given to 1st round QBs than those taken in lower rounds. IMO if a team is going to use a draft pick on a QB, then it better do everything it can to help that QB succeed. If not, they're just wasting the pick.
