The point is that dallas has a young QB and needed the RB for him to be better. We have neither. Starts with the guy behind center, period.

I know what point he was trying to make, but if you are going to argue a point on an open forum, back it up with fact.
FG posted a bullshit stat that he made up to support his view. Period.
As you said, it starts with the guy behind center, not the RB.....

Of course the QB is more important. The reason to take Barkley is if you believe he is a generational talent who is such a mis match compared to the QB talent available you have to take him.

If Barkley is Jim Brown and Rosen/Mayfield/Allen/Darnold turn into Ken O'Brein instead of a great franchise QB, Barkley should be the pick. That's the real trick for the guys making the picks.

People really think Dak is a franchise QB, wow. That ship has sailed in my eyes. Cowboys will need to draft a QB this year.

The whole argument is assine. Draft a rb at 3 instead of a qb when you don’t have a qb. F stats.

We don’t know if any player will be great in the nfl. ANY. What if Barkley gets hurt first practice and never is the same. Bust!!! We are getting a qb. F Barkley

Not that I want to have traded 3 early picks for a RB, but you're shaming yourself with the Jim Brown stuff. I am pining for QBs at this point, but I don't dig the philosophy of ditching generational players when their name isn't Jim Brown.

    Hypothetical.

In three years, when Saquon is a top three back and inching towards Ladainian Tomlinson status of all time performer with another team, and whatever guy the Jets pick ends up leaking that he's training in the offseason with a QB guru to clean up his 48% completion percentage, will you make a change of philosophy in a league where a backup QB that got tossed from several teams beat the baddest team in the land in the biggest game of the year?

The landscape has changed, as it usually does.

Still a more productive Jets QB than Hackenberg or Petty.

In today’s pass happy nfl I’ll take kenny o over jim brown because you can get a good rb later rounds plus Kenny o was good if he had a halfway decent line could of been great.
I’ll take a good starting qb not a all star qb over a hall of fame rb in today’s nfl. Now back in the day when you had a bell cow running 30 to 40 times a game I would take rb. But now a day rbs even hall of Fame ones don’t last as long as qps with the new rules for them.

Glen Foley had one great game, opening day, as did Browning Nagle, and we thought we had our QB. In typical Jet fashion, both played well and lost.
