Yeah, I probably should relax. Lol I just hate people who call me out and when I come knocking, they hide like a byttchhh.
Dallas might disagree here. Their young FQB didn't win a game last season without their 'Sanders/Payton/LT/Curtis'. Dak Prescott went 0-7 without Ezekiel Elliot, and 9-0 with him. Tedddy Bridgewater and Saquon Barkley may be better (by far) than the 3rd pick in this years draft handing the ball off to Elijah Mcguire.
I know it’s crazy but I think of the giants take Rosen second then we need to take saquan with our pick. I don’t think any of the other qbs are worth a third overall pick
If we worry about high risk for the qb positon and lament over holding the bag...we can continue the search the old way which would be rolling the dice in the second round or diamond in the rough in the 4th round. That has not only not worked but has more wasted picks that could have by now, formed a very good offensive line. A draft like this...with the 3rd pick no matter how we went about getting there, is the draft you MUST take a risk on. If not, I can guarantee one thing only...that we will be having the same discussion in 5 years on how to get high enough to lower the risks on a potential franchise QB. No doubt about it. You can get the best running backs...best defensive lines...great young safety's....but for longevity to be AT LEAST a potential playoff team every year, it must be done this year. Its not coming again in the near future. You have to have a franchise qb.
Or, imagine Darnold/Rosen were both gone anyway and the Jets didn't trade with the Colts (nor sign any dinged-up OL FA's) and instead drafted: #6 Quinton Nelson, OG, Notre Dame #37 Will Hernandez, OG, UTEP #49 Chukwuma Okorafor, OT, W. Michigan #72 Desmond Harrison, OT, W. Georgia #107 Nathan Sheppard, DT, Ft. Hays State #179 Kemoko Turay, Edge, Rutgers #235 Johnny Townsend, P, Florida .
That isn't a sexy draft by any means, but damn our O-Line would be a serious problem. Then we could get our QB in the next year or so.
We most certainly do but and the big but is which of these 5 are going to be franchise QB's, this site can barely be civil to each in their disagreement on which is the best or indeed the worst of these QB's, some are adamant that one of them is not even worthy of a top 20 pick another isn't even a round 1 pick, that could be the same QB but said by different posters. One is a project One is a walking concussion that is too rich to care either way One is a dwarf with an attitude problem, did I say he was a dwarf, seems to be a problem for some One is wildly inaccurate These are not my own thoughts but what everybody has read on here countless times by 100's of posters. Now who do we risk as the FQB of the future Jets superbowl winning team at pick number 3 ?
So this mock doesn't give Barkley to the Jets, but I thought it presents an interesting scenario where Barkley is taken first by the Browns, who then take Chubb at #4, and then trade back into the first at #32 and take their QB Jackson. I'm guessing a few posters here - tbruner, SGB, and a few more who love Barkley and Jackson might consider becoming Browns fans if this happened. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...sdrew-mock-draft-10-browns-land-lamar-jackson BTW: It gives Darnold to the Jets after the Giants take Rosen.
Bullshit. They were 3-3 without him and actually lost his first game back , in fact, they lost more games with him than without him.
