What a complete joke. I'm just glad the Jets did not make a ridiculous move like this. 20m for a guy that can't stay on the field and is pedestrian at best.
What are the odds Cousins takes that $20 mil back to the Vikes and argues he’s worth more than just $8 mil more than Bradford?
Here I was thinking we could sign him for 8 or 9 million. Maybe 10 if we were really feeling frisky. I wanted to get Sam Bradford actually but not at that kind of money. I will say though I wouldn't be surprised if he turns in a nice year for them. Maybe I just happen to watch his good games or something but he's always struck me as a pretty big time passer of the football when he's healthy.
Except nobody has said he can’t play decently when healthy, but he’s the absolute epitome of Mr. Glass.
Sam Bradford is trash and is a complete bust. He has only thrown for more than 20 TDs once. His personal best is 21 in a season. He has never had a single playoff appearance and he is made of a glass.
Especially given that glassiness was it a surprise to anyone else that he would command literally 4X the money as a free agent than Bridgewater did? I simply wasn't expecting that. My point was I was thinking if we lost out on Cousins we could probably sign Bradford fairly cheaply and take a shot at getting real plus play if we were lucky enough to avoid another knee blowout. I was just taken aback by the price tag.
I would have been, but teams have been tripping over themselves to give up an arm and a leg for the kid for years. It’s been known he isn’t worth a damn since 2013. Somehow that hasn’t stopped teams from making idiotic deals to acquire him.
