Best part of the story was "Bates is not interested in becoming Jets OC" LMAO

Guy offered promotion and said NO..big slap in the face to Toilet Bowles

If we were able to land DeFilippo I would be elated. Though I am not sure that we should be letting Morton go at this time currently.

DeFilippo is pretty awesome, not sure if he is truly HC material. Might be a great OC for us however. DeFilippo has had a lot of interviews, yet no HC job.

Didn't Mac's end of year comments reference Hack having a second preseason in the same system? I can't imagine he would say that if there were any plans to change OC again.

Normally, when you turn down an promotion, that is a pretty good indicator that you're not planning to hang around OR just happy to be there. Morton signed his own warrant when he admitted he quit in a game. You NEVER admit to something like that. Take that info to the grave.

I think the article is trying to emphasize some of the concerns we've been raising in the draft forum.

If the Jets draft a QB, they need to install the system the QB excelled in. So the article, despite being questionable, is illustrating the Jets are going to be flexible with their OC options.

This is the absolute correct approach. If true, this is great news.

get @legler82 in here to drop the knowledge.

Wonder if Bevell and Mayfield fit.

Why do you want Bevell? He sucks. It's crazy he's made it this far as a OC. If it ain't DeFilippo, then keep Morton here. DeFilippo is the one who developed Wentz (not Frank Reich).

How did you extrapolate "wanting Bevell' from "Wonder if Bevell and Mayfield fit"?

I actually thought Morton was the best OC the Jets have had in quite a while and wouldn't "want" Bevell as a replacement for him.

That being said, I want the right OC fit for the new QB.

Anybody knows who decides on the fate of Coordinators? Who has the final say? Bowles or Mac?

Well, considering you like Mayfield, sounded like you thought they would be a good pairing. I want the best coordinator-QB too.

Or fun idea... we could draft mayfield, Fire Bowles, Hire Lincoln Riley the head coach of Oklahoma and the next Sean Mcvay and finally have a team worthy of being watched on Sunday's

On the heels of his Gruden is stealing Morton gobshite, per sources.

Then the usual suspect bird brains think it's real and react like it's a reflection on Bowles. Bowles drops a deuce in the 'toilet' and it has more class and brains than some of them.

Correct. Mac may have to go directly to Chris Johnson for the override if Bowles doesn't fall in line. We need the correct system for the new QB.

If they like DeFlippino, sounds to me they maybe looking at drafting a Mayfield type at 6 or maybe Allen, two guys who would seemingly do well in a system similar to what the Eagles have.
