Nothing more interesting than watching a once potential dynasty crumble. I truly believe if they won that SB a few years back, Seattle would be in a different mindset today. They wouldn't be as weak mentally. Constant fighting against other teams, and now you have issues internally. There was the Jimmy Graham acquisition a few years ago and the defense laughed at Graham. Apparently, Bennet might go this year along with Sherman and potentially even Kam. Earl Thomas wants another deal as his contract is coming up. I don't see Wilson taking them to the SB w/out a run game and defense. News: https://deadspin.com/bobby-wagner-to-teammate-earl-thomas-keep-my-name-out-1821385868
From the article, "Well, at least he was nice enough to wish continued balling upon his teammate.", Nice.
Man the comments section, they took that and ran with it ... I don't know if I've ever seen a team go this downhill this fast.
I would too, but they had so much more potential. SB loss to divisional round elimination (twice) to not being in the playoffs at all (this year. As Jet fans we would be so disappointed, even though they got a SB, so much more could've been accomplished. You will probably see some coaches leave as well.
My brother in law who is from Spokane has explained to me that the Seattle has never been a real disciplined team even when they won the SB. However, I do feel something was lost in that team after the Wilson SB interception. The Patriots have a way of ripping the hearts out of teams and leaving them not the same anymore.
They will be lucky enough just to be in the playoffs. If the Panthers decide to rest their players against the Falcons, no playoffs for Seattle. Next week the games are going to suck. I can't think of any compelling games to watch!
Why would Carolina rest their starters, if New Orleans slips up they can get the #3 seed (and a bye maybe?!?). I do expect Atlanta to get in, however we have seen crazier things happen in the playoffs.
You are correct that the Saints could lose at home against Tampa who is 4-11 and may be tanking. But if the game turns out to be a blowout for the Saints, the Panthers might start resting their players. I believe both the Saints, Seahawks, and Falcons games start around 4:30 pm east coast time. If the Panthers do decide to give a 100% effort, the Seahawks look good against the Cards and may get in then.
Well I have New Orleans going to the Super Bowl so I tend to agree, they will run over the Bucs, but then again its the NFL.
